So, everytime I run the game, I get this error : "AWC.dll - there is a problem with your game's setup please reinstall your game".

I have the DVD version of the game.
Windows 7 64-bit.
6 gigs of ram.
NVidia 9800GT with the newest drivers.

What's the deal?

I think there's a problem with the, what do you call it, the out-of-game main menu. I created a shortcut from the actual .exe and use that to get in.

I can't even run the game directly from the exe...Same error. Just installed the beta drivers, still no dice.

So you're getting the AWC.dll bug in addition to the "there's a problem with your game setup..."?

Locate the EAcoreserver.exe. It should be in the main directory DA2 is installed: C:\\your folders\\bin_ship_core. Create a shortcut for that and put it on your desktop. Now double-click the eacoreserver shortcut, wait about 2-3 seconds and then click your DA2.exe shortcut. It's what I had to do for Origins and ME2 after an update was done I believe.

The EACoreServer.exe thing didn't work.
The dialog that pops up says "AWC.DLL" at the top, in the title bar, and then there's a problem with your game setup in the window itself.

That's really weird. I have to do that every time I start up Origins and ME2. Are you using the app .exe you get placed on your desktop after install or the .exe in the bin_ship folder?
