I don't know how many others have had this. Although I had run the game fine before, I started got this error today (after my system rebooted to install MS patches). It kept telling the game couldn't run under guest account or with my login privileges. After searching and finding no answers on google or here. I started trying different things. After a couple reboots, drivers updates, etc with still no luck. I decided to try the EA download manager and launching the game from there. Viola! it ran. Surprised I immediately exited and tried again - ran. So then I exited and tried running from my shortcut, and again it ran and now seems to be working fine. Since there were no other solutions that I could find I figured I'd post this just in case it helps someone else.

I have an amendment to make - I have found that anytime my pc goes to sleep or even just to screensaver, this error returns. The only way to clear it is to reboot so the game can once again run - setting the app to run as admin has no effect.

Oh and I forgot to mention that it then has to be activated again. Ridiculous, but I keep putting up with it because I do like the game.

Just curious-- are you on Windows 7? Does your login account have administrative privileges?
