For users with a digital copy that are unable to download content. The problem is that steam/impulse are not able to install services as adminstrator.

locate installutil.exe, can be found in #:\\ Windows\\ Microsoft.NET\\ Framework\\ v2.0.50727, # corresponds to the drive windows is installed on but to keep it simple i'll use the letter 'C'.

installutil.exe copy and paste .exe to bin_ship folder in game directory

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship

go to start run command prompt as administrator by clicking start -> accessories -> right-click command prompt -> run as administrator

should be "C:\\Windows\\System32>" by default

1 type cd ..\\.. hit enter
2 cd "then your game directory" , should look like this
   C:\\>cd "Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\dragon age origins\\bin_ship"
3 hit enter
4 type installutil daupdatersvc.service.exe
5 hit enter to run install

go into services manager and start the service

Hi, I downloaded the Deluxe version from Steam including all the bonus content, but am unable to get this working, since the new content is still unplayable. I have used the same account.



Will this fix also work for those who already have the content but cannot use it?
