I am enjoying how you are trying to make a name for yourself and exploring the city doing the side quests have been a lot of fun. I also like the fact you have family involved, and since my main character is male, the beginning of the game with the mage sister, it almost reminded me of Imoen from BG2. They're both mages... and hell they even look somewhat similar.
The side quests so far have been great, with very morally ambiguous situations, which I love.
Also I've noticed that almost all the criticism of DA2 is due to the flashy combat (lol?), not having a isometric view(valid criticism), and some other interface/design decisions.
However isn't the story/dialogue, character interaction the soul of RPGs?
For instance I got eaten alive when I criticized the combat mechanics and some other design decisions of Baldur's gate 2 (I admitted I loved the characters and story and that BG2 deserves a 9/10), however these same people that says RPGs are all about story are saying that DA2 is the worst game ever not because of its story, but because of its interface and combat mechanics... WTF... hypocrisy much?
So let me get this straight.
Baldur's gate 2 (Awesome story/questionable mechanics/questionable combat) = BEST RPG EVER!!
Dragon Age 2 (Great story/questionable mechanics/questionable combat) = WORST RPG EVER!!!
... wait I'm confused
(Personally I think BG2 has a 9.5/10 worthy story and DA2 a 8.5/10 worthy story. DA:O maybe a 8.8/10 story)
