After clicking play from the launcher I receive the following error message:

'You do not have enough access rights to complete this process. Please login as an administrator and restart the application.'

I am already logged in as the administrator and having double checked my privileges on the application itself I have full privileges. Any Ideas?

I'm running the following system

Vista 64bit
Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2.8Ghz
4GB Ram
Service Pack 2

Got another pretty interesting case...

Installed the game on Thursday moring on Windows XP...started the game...everything worked.
Then i upgraded to Vista Ultimate 32-bit yesterday morning to be able to use directx 11  and now I always get the "AWC.dll Fail load" error when i want to start the game.

I already started the launcher as Admin and updated NET Framework to 4.0, but still the game wont start.

Any other suggestions what i can do?

What anti virus do you have? What i did was to add the folder where the game was installed to the exception list before running the game for the first time, cause if you don't do this, some files get deleted and you can´t run the game... Also, add your windows account folder to the exception list... cause in one of the user folders there is a file that also gets deleted and you need it to activate the game.

Also, add all the .exe files on the game folder to the firewall exception list.

In Windows Vista and 7 go to C:\\users add that folder to your avg exception list. On XP is under c:\\documents and settings so add that folder to the avg exception list.

I went through the configuration and everything, the DirectX is apparently set to 9 as a default for some reason but when I press play, it just says "Dragon Age 2" has found an error, we are sorry for the inconvienience."
So I click on the error report to get further details;
AppVer: 1.0.5174.0 ModName: msvcr80.dll
Offset: 00014c23

I also tried to uninstall and install again, same thing happened.

You need to do this before lunching the game for the very first time... add the game folder and the users folder to the anti virus exception list and all the .exe files in the game folder to your firewall exception list, and then run the game for the first time.

If you already lunched the game, i think you will need to uninstall the game and reinstall it...

I installed it and launched it with both my anti virus and firewall turned off. It doesn't help at all.

I am running windows 7 64 Bit version.

I had the problem where I would Click on the game to launch, and the release checker would show up, tell me It had to do the check. The check would complete it looked like but nothing would happen. Dragon Age wouldn't start and didn't show up in the processes.

Heres what I did that got it to work.

I Booted my computer in safe mode with networking. (Hit F8 while computer is booting to select it.) While in safe mode started Dragon Age and the Release checker actually finished and it got to the point where I had to enter my e-mail and password. Entered Registration key and it activated. I was in safe mode at this point so the game wouldn't run. Rebooted normally and it started right up.

I did have a problem with my sound when I rebooted but just had to reset my default sound device, it changed for some reason while in safe mode.

Hope this helps someone.

Just to be heard: Same issue here with the guest account.
Consider this: We waited with our release 'till 11th in eu, then the first thing that greats me when I finally get back from work is this error message. I think the best description for the situation is: FAIL. Please fix this issue asap... It is not a "few" user. Also it is not 64bit related cuz I use 32bit Win7.

"Dragon Age II has stopped working" This shows up within a second of clicking Play. Windows Vista 64 color, Nividia Geforce 8800GT. It says my driver's up to date. I tried a few of those beta versions of driver updates but they say theyre incompatable.

Is anyone working on this? The EA site is garbage, doesnt even list DA2. When I clicked the forum button at EA it sends you back here! If you're going to charge 60 bucks don't you think you should check this stuff out before release? Arrrr
