EV#52957 – Some are getting a “Dragon Age II has stopped working” error
yes i after i press play from launcher i get this message. i have reinstalled directx from disc updated to the new beta nvidia driver after all others failed to do anything and changed all settings one by one and with all possible combinations and it makes no difference please help here are my specs via directx diagnostic:

Allright. I had the DRM problem methinks. The game installed fine but... as soon as I pushed "play" a black box appeared and disappeared just as fast... and the game didn't launch. So... I turned off all my anti-virus programs, the windows firewall, reinstalled the game. Boyakasha. It starts and seems to work (for now).
Before I did the reinstall though, I chose "install DirectX" before I chose "install game" (or whatever it was called) from the installation menu.

Yup, this one is what's happening to me. I'm running Win7 64-bit, ATI Radeon HD 4650, and I've tried all the latest drivers and lots of different configurations. Restarting doesn't help. Updating doesn't help. There's just nothing happening.

Cool, but what happens to those of us who bought the game through the EADM? we cant choose when to install, you can either download or uninstall... ill try to lucnh the game with AVG off and with the Firewall exceptions...

alright.. got together with some mates and wer gonno play DA2 to celebrate its release little did we know that it doesnt work wtf is with this admin issue ****, all 6 of us cannot play DA2 this is going to brutally trash biowares rep and if this is not fixed within the nxt 2 hours im OFICIALY going to hammer the **** out of the disk and claim it on warranty LOL

Something tells me this is not Bioware's fault... it is EA piracy protection stuff...

If you have the BEX issue.. .this is exactly what I tried and it did not work
