Hi everyone - to help coordinate the clutter, I'm creating a series of official sticky threads covering major issues.
This is the official thread for any in-game issues that are preventing you from finishing the prologue and REACHING KIRKWALL. If you're experiencing such an issue or have a solution to such an issue, please post and discuss it here.
Thanks!
It seems this is also related to the inability to save, and both issues seem to revolve around the fact that these things are being assigned to a second core.
Many of us have very nice computers and don't need dual+ core. We need a patch for the game right away that fixes the issues related to the accessing of the game to multiple cores.
This will seriously stop a lot of your headaches from users.
Thanks.

I still say we kidnap Laidlaw and ransom him for 1,000,000
What?? Why?
We kidnap him and ransom for a fix! Better than a million any day.

Will there be a fix or do I need to upgrade my comp?
Don't worry, there'll be a fix.
The hardest part is waiting.

They fixed a similar problem with ME2 that prevented single-core users from playing, they can surely fix this problem, as I believe it to be more simplistic.

If I recall correctly, DA:O also had a similar issue with single-cores, which was less common. This was also fixed.

you'd think they'd learn after the problem happened the first time.

in the mean time does bioware wait on spendsing the 60 bucks we all shelled out for a game thats unplayable cause they didnt fix a problem they had with dragon age 1 AND ME2? so tired of wasting money on games coming out that are buggy as hell and theres nothing we can do except just wait for them to patch it..........
"We're working on it" means they're swimming in the DA2 marketing fund.
