OP, it's bioware tradition to cater to both the male and female crowd.

In an ideal world it would focus simply on one character (likely male) with one face as the protagonist, and one backstory so everyone starts the same and then the game branches from that based on your choices. That would allow for opimum quality and focus into the choices and outcomes in the main game with the extra time and disc space as well as making it less complicated going from game to game. Only having to worry about one backstory for example means unique dialog can focus to the backstory of the players actions in the game, and any information about the characters backstory can also be explored in much greater depth with much more quest tie ins. One set of relationships means more room for dialog and more time to put effort into those relationships.

So yeh OP I see your point for future games, maybe even future Mass Effect spinoffs with a new protagonist but not Mass Effect 3. That's really stupid considering the game has been following female and male shepard since the begining. You know the game carrys choices over, why make such a ignorant childish statement? Also if bioware were to make such a move - it would turn away more of their female audience than is probably worth it. And would likely annoy all the ultra picky RPG brats on here that would complain that their freedom of choice has been taken away. People have problems with the companions having fixed clothing (even though it improves quality especially in cutscenes), some people moan about their character being voiced (which is the stupidest thing I've ever heard) so imagine what a problem they'd have with a single sex hero.

I'm confused... did the mods develop a sense of humor? Or are they simply waiting to ban us all into darkspace? I'm not even sure what this thread is suppose to be about or how it's even legitimate?

I like Turtles.

Get rid of humans, because we all know by now humans are a blight on galactic purity. Waste of disk space. Instead of playing as Male or Female Shepard I would like to play as the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Spectre. Then I could actually romance Wrex and Grunt right?

Well there's been a lot of hubbub at another forum which shall not be named because this is ME and the game of the respective forum was made by an entirely different department, but it aint pretty over there. Some trolls - I think I'll call them Uruk-Hai because they're in a whole new category - have even gone as far as visiting this forum to post stuff.

I was talking with Pacifen around a weeks ago and he told me that the mods were busey with some bad trolls ovr at the DA forums. i think he was talking about this. But it must be really bad if they have abandoned the ME forum to clean the other one.

I don't think it was, but opinions are ****holes at times. Of course, evidence suggests that it was definitely rushed. I spotted a couple inflammatory threads made by folks who clearly had made fake profiles just to post - the date they joined coincides with the date of the post - and reported them. The threads were deleted. One, obviously a person with an axe to grind, created such a profile and came over here posting a thread related to DA while threatening to pirate all EA/Bioware's PC games and send them to torrent sites for download. Very nasty, I tell you.

But I tell folks worried about ME 3 all the time. Different department, and the game has been in development since mid-late 2009 so a late 2011/early 2012 is reasonable.
