I downloaded the black emporium dlc, but when i look at my sustained abilities the mabari isn't there. Could anyone help me possibly figure out how to fix this?

Can anyone please give me their opinion on what's wrong and if there's any way to fix it?

Go to the Character menu and go to Abilities. Then, scroll all the way over to "Hawke" and the Mabari Warhound will be there. It can be mapped from there as well.

I just tried this and for whatever reason the "Hawke" abilities aren't there. My abilities end at assassin. (My character is a rogue)

You did get the invite to the Black Imporium, and subsequently visited it, right? If not, that might be the reason.

Also when you go to Gamlen's house the dog should be there, and Hawke's mom should suggest you "take him out" more often.

aaah thank you! that was it, i hadn't gone to gamlen's house yet. The mabari was there when i went in. Thank you.

I don't think that's it, I was fighting alongside my dog in Lothering.

Looking at your entitlements, jurban74, you dont have The Black Emporium attached to that account. You need to register the key that is on one of the sleeves inside your retail copy. If you downloaded the game digitally, the provider should have emailed you some keys. If you own the Signature Edition it's an all encompassing key, if not there should be a specific one for Black Emporium.

To clarify, the Dog in Gamlen's is the same dog but the Black Emporium DLC will allow you to summon it in combat.

I have the Black Emporium DLC but have yet to be able to take my dog out. :/

I played the game and my dog auto appeared at the beginning of the game. My gf played it and she had to summon the dog to get it to show up at first. Obviously, of course, you have to summon him every time you want him.

He should appear at your house once you get into Kirkwall. If he isn't there then yeah, glitch, or you don't have the BE. Otherwise, summon him just like you would activate an ability or summon a pet from Origins.
