I ask because I was listening to the gamers with jobs podcast, and one of the guys in the discussion was talking about his wife who was also playing the game, and she told him about Alistair - "I think he's the one"

and then all the guys were like oh no


left in the dust by a game char.

So who out there would ditch who you were with for Alistair?

I never used that dog until later in the game, and when I did, man, that thing is a beast.  He was taking guys down like they were made of tissue.  Should have used him more.

In fact, I made a warrior that looks very much like my husband. I wish I could take two characters through the game together. I want my big burly husband to defend me by bashing heads in! Alistair is a bit too nancy-boy for me, thanks.

Why didn't I think of this sooner...
I got four dogs... I can trade them for Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana and ehh... Who else... Oh heck, Wynne. Walking the dogs would be amazing, have Alistair and Morrigan scream at eachother and all...

i like alistair insofar as he reminds me of my husband - funny, sweet, slightly bashful, but he could kick your a**. my guy won me over when he quoted The Gods Must Be Crazy to me, "when i'm around a beautiful woman, my fingers become thumbs..." i laughed and blushed and was utterly lost. so yeah - the only game char who comes even close to my guy, but my guy beats him out, hands down.

lol Alistair reminds me of my husband too, sweet, funny, charismatic, a total goof, but with a lot of courage. So while Alistair does in fact make me swoon far too much for a video game character, he's still no match for the real thing.

Alistair's only shortcoming is him being a wuss. I mean, srsly, no matter if you are gallant, hardcore, evil, good, what kinda pansy says "i'm not ready" if a hot chick asks him to do the dirty in a tent.

The serious commitment argument wont fly here. He is a guy.

Zevran tells a story about how he was hired to kill someone, had sex with her, THEN slit her throat and says "at least she had fun final hours" . I kill him with utmost prejudice since then.

He tells plenty of stories like that, but he has a soul, I promise. Doing a friendship or romance with him gave me some sympathy/understanding. Every time I hear someone say they kill Zevran as though it's some kind of punishment, now, I get a little heart-pang of irony.

Back to Alistiar, Im still convinced that only an utter pansy would reject a hottie asking him to the tent. What kinda answer is "im not ready for that yet" ??

Alistair...is a game character...nothing more...seriously, do yourself or whomever cares a favor, and get a f ing life?

Besides...Alistair, is an a hole...note that I'm bisexual, and honestly you can find his kind in abundance on any sun covered beach...they're filled with loser guys with blonde hair and a tan trying to pick up a girlfriend cause they suck at personalities so they use bodies to seduce...failure...get...a...life....

Also...there are 101 topics about Alistair...lay the f off...and people say I spam? Ok ladies and gentlemen we get it you have a HORRIBLE taste in men and a HORRIBLE humor to go with it, but please stop sharing your wet dreams about a man made out of pixels and bytes with us, it's getting annoying.

And if you'd trade your real life husband or boyfriend for Alistair...I'm speechless....what the **** is wrong with you?

Get the **** over your pixel crush and go get a life....no point in dreaming about stuff that wont come true...thats why Emoes exist, damnit.
