Bah, there's no way I'm going back to that old a save. Maybe it'll work out in Act 3, and these other companions just put out faster?

In my next playthrough, I shall be a rogue who supports mages AND romances Fenris. I'm going to see if I can duplicate him staying in the end. Should be fun. <3

Interesting, have not got that far yet, I take my sweet time, I was on here looking to see if a guide had been posted on the correct responses to improve relations with certain party members. As tricky as it is, none of it is as annoying as trying to get Sten from Dragon Age to like you, I swear I was cussing at that giant by the time I figured it out >,<

For the moment I can't find the exact point where it says whether he's taken a vow of chastity or celibacy, but from all research I've done "chastity" means the state of abstaining from all sex even after marriage, and "celibacy" is the state of abstaning from /all/ sexually-related activities as well as and sometimes including marriage itself  ~ but I really doubt the devs did that much research into the two topics since in the present-day they're commonly used as surrogate words for one another. 
However, I know the guidebook calls your relationship with Sebastian "an unconventional partnership", so I'm assuming that's what they mean. If it's not and it only means "no bedtime antics before marriage" then I am highly annoyed that they feel the need to lable that "unconventional" . Anyway, considering that the story ends after that, I suppose it's all up to the player's imagination just what your Hawke and Prince Vael got up to, eh? I mean, who could /resist/ those little black and pink swimsuit-corsets that they put on Merrill and so many of the other women in-game? (Ed. note: it looks like something my neighbor's malibu barbie used to wear >.<)

The core of his romance is the fact that he never commit (move in in our case) tile he come to terms with his demons and it is in the act 3 only. Guide apparently made a mistake telling this is possible. It is a strange romance. Only Isabela one is more strange=).

Well, if you're arguing that in modern day usage, celibacy and chastity mean the same thing, then yes, saving oneself for marriage would be considered "unconventional".  Heck, most kids these days wouldn't dream of waiting, especially the ones playing these games, but that's another topic that goes beyond these forums.

According to the person in the thread below who has played through, Sebastian proposes marriage, but then at the end he somehow "forgets" about any sort of partnership whatsoever.  This is what we're upset about.  It's a tease and you get nothing but a letdown for your effort.

I just finished the game having romanced Isabelle AND Merril. Merril was living in my flat at the end of the game, though it recognized me as having won over Isabelle completely. There was a cutscene somewhere in Act 3 when I approached Isabelle at Hangman's and she asked if I was interested in Merril. Being the dirty rogue I am, I said no to which she replied that was a good thing. Or she'd have to cut something very valuable to me off. Not sure what all paths I took to get there, but that's what happened.

Me and my bf played through at the same time (his on PC, mine on PS3) and he finished with Isabella, I believe.

I wonder how the Rivalmances go, do you still get to sleep with them?
