Deathly Traps - To Catch a Thief

So... in the room where you see the Qunari and mages fight... there's another section with traps. Has a pretty little container in there. Two different ways to get to it, both ways having traps.

Problem? I wait for the blades to pass and run across, only to be flung back and juggled infintely until I'm out of the way by some invisible force. I can't even get to the spears that rise from the ground. This happened with me on both ways.

I'm just curious if I'm suffering from a graphical glitch (the blades are more active than they seem and just aren't loading graphically) or if the game is trolling me.

But hell is that contanier taunting. I'll make a save here to test if anyone has any suggestions.

I don't think it's a graphical glitch, I'm having the same thing. And dammit, I want those containers.

Look behind you in that picture and you'll see a switch on the floor hit that and the blades stop for a time.

I'm having the same thing happen and I don't see picture with a switch. I'm definitely being pushed back when there are no blades visible.

I kinda glitched through those traps. One of my companions just ran over them, died several times of course, but she got through and disarmed the traps. Only worthless junk in the containers though.

Good to know there's just junk in there hahah... There was another trap room where Anders actually bounced all the way through the traps (nearly dead by the time he was across) and used the switch. Oh this game and traps.

Oh, Aveline died several times, she kept getting killed the moment she stood up, luckily I got the chance to move her one of the times, but I would never had tried to get past those traps if i knew what was in them. Haha

Aveline with 100% knockdown resist ability can run right through to turn off the traps.

I received a helpful PM on this matter for anyone who's interested.

Go through both doors. There are handles near each, but neither fully deactivate either traps. The 2 switches with the crates do not even work.

What deactivating both switches does do however is remove parts of each trap. The picture you uploaded shows that the right side of the trap is gone. As for the other side: http://i53.tinypic.com/t8tdad.jpg

Yes, you can actually fit there and suffer no Injuries whatsoever. Hope this helps.

Figured this one out! There are 2 switches in the corners near the doors - but you need a rogue (presumably with high enough Cunning) to spot them. That's why Donatom3 could see them and Undeadpool couldn't - at first Isabela was my only rogue, so I loaded another save, took Varric too and the switches appeared. Hit both to take out all the traps completely.

And yes, I got just junk in the crates too.
