@Funker Shepard So you bought your game at best buy? and pre-ordered it before the 8th? They should of sent you/gave you an extra redeem code for that item separately.

I have the item showing up here in my "your registered game content" tab, so that part has already been taken care of. The problem is that no matter what I do it doesn't carry over into the game from there, unlike all my other DLC/promo stuff.

Tried logging off your account in game? and logging back in?

The DLC Items are crap. I got better stuff before Act 1 ended. I know they are free and if you start a new game thould be worth it but once you get into the game they are useless . All the free items we get, the staff, armor and thes DAL stuff is all replaced before Act 2. Anyway, I keep feeling disappointed .

It's not a question of the items being good or bad, it's a question of what is unlocked here not showing up in game. While it's a minor issue at the moment, I'd hate to think that it's a symptom of a larger issue that can lead to, say, an awakening-size expansion not working for anybody because the authorisations are messed up.

And Lacan82, I've reinstalled the game, so I think that should double for your suggestion, but I'll check it when I'm back at my gaming rig.

For anyone experiencing issues with DLC/Promo Item not unlocking ingame, I have generally found that deleting/renaming profile.dap in (My) Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings resolves the issue.

Just sign in again after deleting it and it should hopefully resolve the problem.

after playing on facebook da legends i unlocked a few items but the special delivery trunk in my mansion wont open

I activated my promo code and it included:

The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall
Blood Dragon Armor
Of things not lost
Lothering's Lament
The Black Emporium
Boots of the Frozen Wastes

I proceeded to install the Black Emporium thing and started up the game. I went to the unlockables section and found only The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall and Lothering's Lament unlocked. The Black Emporium appears in the Downloadable content with a check, so I assume that will work/works idk. So why is it that my other items didn't unlock? I have no idea how to fix this. I even started a new game to see if that would do it... nope. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it! I really want my Blood Dragon Armor! I have been playing 2 weeks without it!

Guys, I didn't read the whole topic, maybe someone already wrote it. but I had the same problem and I solved it. So you have to go the following folder on your PС: Windows - System32 - drivers - etc - and then zou open the file hosts with the notepad (or how is it called in english?) - erase everything in the file and save it. It works, it really works, cuz now the game can link your game account to bioware's page. So check it!

Besides, when you got the unlocked items in the chest (it is the other chest, not where you can put all the things you don't need) you take them, and the chest seems to be unclickable, though you know that there are some other items inside. Then just leave the location and visit it again. Now the chest clickable and you can take all the stuff.

this solution sounds promising. however, i cannot find the folder "drivers" in the System32 folder nor the file host that you are talking about. if you could clarify this I would most appreciate it

haha. i actually managed to find it and do what you said, but I cannot save the file after I change it! It gives me an error:
Make sure that the path and file name are correct
I am using notepad

okay disregard previous posts... i managed to overwrite the file and everything, have my account linked, went in game and checked my unlockables. still not everything is unlocked. i loaded my game, went to my house and there was nothing to be taken from the chest. anyone got another idea on how to resolve this issue?

Ok, I've now tested my issue as thoroughly as I think I can. Basically, the idea is that I have Amulet of Ashes, but can't get it to show up either in unlocks or in-game.

I've reinstalled, removed the .dap file and tried all sorts of log in/out shenanigans, and while all my other DLC items (both promo and Signature Edition type installable stuff) work perfectly, this particular item simply won't show up in-game.

Kind of at a loss what I should do now.

I do not know where to address, therefore I will write here. At me not item unlocking for is complete Demo and Hindsight though I the register for Newsletter BioWare on the Penny Arcade page and Complete the Dragon Age 2 Demo in March.
Why these things (Amulet of Ashes, Hayder's Razor, Hindsight) if I have made all correctly aren't accessible to me? In advance thanks for the help.
