2.5 because it's very rushed and lacks content compared to DA:O
You know, if people pointed out what was "lacking," then perhaps we could get a dialogue going. An actualy constructive dialogue.

I'd give it a 4 (Maybe 3.75, not sure yet.) out of 5.

For one thing, it lacks a real assortment of equipment, but that is brought on by the lack of companion armor choice, as well as a "forced" equipment line for whatever class your champion chose. It's stifling really. As far as quests go, I am quite happy. There is enough to keep me occupied for quite a while.android654 wrote...

4. I think it's a really good game. Has its faults like every game out there, but overall, it's really enjoyable.

4 out of 5 for me.
i'm having a hard time putting the game down. i like the combat. it feels fluid, and its fun. when i tried DA:O a few hours ago, it seemed..slow paced, and the animation from DA2 is great. Storywise, I feel like every quest has a purpose, or I feel like i have an incentive to get them done, which is a good thing. I hope i will get to see more of Flemeth further down the game. She is probably the most intimidating character i've seen since the bad guy in "no country for old men"
The biggest letdown though, is the reuse of enviroment. It gets a bit boring after a while. Also, I would love to remove the item restrictions for companions.
but i'm having a blast with the game at the moment. so overall: good job Bioware.

As a stand alone game I would say 4, but as a second game in a franchise, a 3. It lacks the epic feel of Origins, but on it's own it's a good game. The story takes forever to develop, as I am still in the first act and there's more quests/running around than actual focus on plot. Thus it lacks the epic feel and lacks a sense of urgency as to why you are there in the first place. It slows the pace of the storyline.

Its nice to have DA2 tho it lacks of improvment comparing to DA1. Same graphics (engine is general), repetive content, ok story.
Nothing new in general in DA2 that would stand out from DA1 or others RPG's apart of playable controlles on both consoles (lags on 360 btw

I don't like fraction scores, so 5. Probably a 9 on a scale of 10, though.

4.5 loving it.
would have been a 5 but I'm slightly disappointed at the limited dialogue with your party.

90% of the game takes place in 1 place. It's basically a premium module, not a new game.

Unfortunately I have to give it a 2.5/5. And I'm probably going to stop playing it.
Not many dialog options, combat is annoying, my character has a voice. The menu, inventory and level up system/set up is horrific, etc.
But I'd be more than happy to add another point to the rating IF THEY FIXED THE TEXT, it's too small and blurry.
Until then, DA2 is going on the shelf.
I'll play some DA:O

To anyone that made their judgments about the game from the first few hours of play, please don't. I strongly recommend you play much further along before deciding if you like it or not. In my opinion it gets a lot better further into the story. I really only have good things to say about this game, but I don't expect everyone to be pleased by it. Just try to give a fair chance.
