I am unable to complete the "Duty" mission for the exiled prince. I killed two out of the three mercenary groups, but the third, located at the docks at night in my case, is nowhere to be seen. I even went through all of the side passage ways and tunnels/sewers and killed everything that opposed me, yet still the quest has not updated. Is anyone else encountering similar issues, or does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Dragon Age tends to be known for Quest mess ups with people being not there. xD. Unfortunately you'll probably need to end up redoing that whole part I advise: Always saving before every Quest you start to do. This way if it messes up you can Quit the game or reset the system.

Can I just delete the Exile Prince and then re-install it?

Dunno. I wouldn't go that route unless you plan to re-start the game. It could possibly mess up the file you already have.

Well, I just loaded an earlier save that was a little out of my way but wasn't too much work again and managed to complete the quest.
Just FYI -- I did the Docks first the first time where I got this bug. This time, I did it last. Not sure if that makes a difference.

This is caused by entering the sewers in The Docks (Night) immediately after killing the encounter there. We are aware of this issue and working on fixing it. I've heard someone say that you can do another quest and come back later to finish it but personally that seems unlikely. If you remove the Exiled Prince DLC it won't let you load that save so that isn't an option.
There will be a fix for this but it's likely not to be retroactive (it will only prevent this issue in the future) so your options are to keep going without Sebastian or to load a save before fighting the encounter in The Docks (Night).

Oh yeah Luke, that definitely sounds familiar now.
That sewer being right in the middle of the enemies meant I accidentally entered it even though I didn't want to.
Good thing I had earlier saves.

I havent been there yet, but if I kill the encounter there, go lets say my house at night, and then sewers, does that work? Is it possible to do this, and does this work?

You don't need to go in to the sewers. The problem is that the encounter is right beside a transition area so it's easy to accidentally enter it immediately proceeding combat if you're mashing attack.
I have been told that you will get a second chance to do this part of the quest in Act 2 so for those of you that had this issue occur in Act 1 just wait until Act 2 and try again in The Docks. Just remember to stay away from the sewers entrance until the quest updates (it should only take a second or two)

I've already started a new thread, and perhaps that's for the best, since my problem is later in the game.
After completing Sebastien's major mission in Act II, I cannot unselect him in my party select screen. The little bastard is permalocked into my party, and it's damn annoying.
It's looking like I'm going to have to backtrack a full hour and a half in the game to see if I can fix this with an earlier save.
I absolutely love the game, but it's riddled with issues like this. It's very frustrating.
EDIT: I was finally able to reset my party by returning to Hawke's home. This particular problem, at least, has a viable, if tedious, solution.
