People place their trust in themselves, not some bull**** requirements.

My only problem with this is when I pre-ordered the direct download, minimum requirements WERE NOT LISTED. Since I could run the demo/DA:O/ME2, I just assumed I could run it, but if the minimum requirements had been listed in the page you pre-order on the EA website for Direct download, I wouldn't have gotten it. But they were not, and I wasn't going to spend time looking around for requirments when I thought I could run it.Nathan Frederick wrote...
And the Min Spec is a dual-core. There is no equivalent single-core to a dual core. They can have similar process speeds/memory/etc... but they never have multiple cores. Most games these days will use multiple cores - any game that is launched on the consoles simultaneously/before the PC HAS to use multiple cores, or they wont function on the consoles - and most games these days are multi-platform.

In BioWares defense, the system requirements require a dual core processor (even though the initial systems specs included single core). So BioWare doesn't even NEED to patch this. They could just say forget you and do something else. Don't get me wrong most if not all BioWare games have bugs and are well known for them. I'm just glad that they are trying to fix this. It would be nice if they told us how far along they are or somthing.Immortal_Reiku wrote...
I think all of us that have wasted our time should get back 75 bucks if they dont want the game anymore that should cover the game and the gas it cost me to go get the game. I will never buy a bioware game again. In fact the only reason I bought this game was becuase I downloaded it, played it, and decided this is awesome I should go buy it. then BAM someone released a game that does not work

Nathan talks about not being able to win when it comes to giving some sort of guidance as to when a patch/workaround will be available. We're not seeking a definitive time, Nathan - just some sort of guidance. The E in ETA stands for "estimated". That's what we want, an estimate. Today-ish? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Just a rough idea would be nice.

The beta patch will not work with Steam, sorry.
Steam will receive the final patch once it is confirmed to be working (beta patches are not allowed on Steam).
