Unfortunately, in doesn't work for my game.

Note: there was no problem when I've played WITHOUT DLCs. When I installed The Black Emporium, this problem has appeared (Phenom 9750 Quad-Core and this fix included. Also tried other forum members methods, but problem doesn't solved yet).

When I start up DA2 I can get all the way to the end of the first part, right after the dwarf tells the fake story, and my game will try to auto save but can't. I can still play all the way through to the part where Flemeth agrees to help you, but the next area will not load (kirkwall). There is a constant circle spinning on the right side like it's trying to save, but can't. Then I take off auto save and try to manually save and it does the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Oh, yeah. I also can not level up unless i select for them to automatically upgrade. When I try to select attributes it works. When I try to select my powers it won't let me press confirm or back so I have to press esc and just select for them to automatically level up.

I AM SO HAPPY THIS PATCH WORKED, BUT THERE IS STILL A PROBLEM. MY GAME IS NOW ABLE TO SAVE BUT IT STILL WILL NOT LET ME PRESS CONFIRM WHEN I TRY TO SELECT MY ABILITIES. IF I WANT ABILITIES I JUST HAVE TO LET IT AUTOMATICALLY LEVEL UP  I CANT PRESS BACK OR CONFIRM, JUST ESC TO GET OFF THE SCREEN AND MY ONLY OPTION IS TO AUTO LEVEL UP.

nvm! I FIGURED IT OUT. I HAD TO TAKE MY VIDEO SETTINGS OFF OF FULL SCREEN AND I SET IT TO THE LOWEST VIDEO SETTING AND I WAS ABLE TO SELECT MY ABILTIES AND PRESS CONFIRM. THE REASON IT WOULDN'T WORK AT FIRST IS BECAUSE THE TWO SCREENS ON BOTTOM WERE OVERLAPPING (ABILITY POINTS/SPECIALIZATION POINTS AND MY MOVE BAR (FOR SOME REASON IS IN THE ABILITIES SCREEN). SO ON FULL SCREEN THEY OVERLAP AND WON'T WORK. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE.

I bought the game on steam and had this issue so I figured id download it from the EADM and see how it went from there. It did let me register my steam code in my EADM if anyone was wondering if you could do that. It'll say it's already in use but just do it a few times then refresh your EADM and DA2 should show up then.

I saw something in PC gamer saying that it should be released sometime next week. Not sure how credible a source it is though. There's probably discussion of it in the patch thread.

Well there's much to patch so you better put some effort in the first patch! (DX11 and quest fixes. Also note the infinite gold / XP bug and the resurrection autoheal bug)

Thanks in advance. Honestly: releasing DA2 in such an unfinished state that it is not fun to play was not the brightest idea.

I downloaded the patch and the game works beautifully now. Thanks so much for addressing this issue. I know you could of simply waved this off by saying "your machine doesn't meet the minimum specs" but you went the extra mile and fixed this problem even when you didn't have to. Thanks so much for your efforts.

Steam just downloaded something for DA2, does that mean this patch has now gone live for Steam users? I wasn't experiencing this particular issue, but it will be good news for other Steam users who were having problems if that is the case.

1.01 caused frequent crashes on my system, up to the point where I simply can't leave the Blooming Rose (it's a really nasty patch, isn't it? )
So I advise anyone to install it only if they really need the bugfixes listed in the description.
Just a heads-up.

I installed the patch tonight and I'm actually regretting it. I hadn't experienced any of the problems it was meant to fix, but better safe than sorry, right? But now that it's in, I'm getting freezes and lag during cut-scenes, and textures are loading very slowly. The game was running smoothly on the highest graphics settings before, now I'm dealing with the most frustrating freezes just running around small rooms. How do I uninstall it? D:
