I may be stupid but I was told that there is a way to enable auto-attack like how it was in DA:O. I'm getting a bit tired of mashing the A button to swing my sword every second...is there a way to do this??

Short answer, no. I believe one of the dev diaries stated it was going to be a toggled option, but it is not in this version of the game. To quote another forum post, they're "looking into this, and other issues".

i feel your pain man i hate this button mashing crap especially as a rogue it sometimes even auto targets other enemies while im bashing away on the A button ><
