So, it took me 38 leisurely hours, not the advertised 80, to get to the throne room after downing the Archdemon, chat with everyone, and realise that the game was over. My character sheet says that I've completed 53% of the game, despite the fact that I've done almost all of the sidequests, and completed the main story.

I'm not expecting it to be a bug or anything, but I can't help feeling - wasn't that a bit short? I was expecting more. I mean, I was thinking about it from the perspective of the size and scale of the original NWN. It had five 'acts', and each act, there were 3-4 sub areas with that formed parts of the main quest. Sure, there are a few hours of playtime in a place such as the Deep Roads, or the Mage Tower + Fade, but the Elven forest was tiny and extremely linear. I've finished the game, and I've felt like i've barely completed the equivalent of one or two acts from NWN. So, basically, we had to recruit 4 groups, roll around Denerim, then engage in the final battle. Not much to that.

I meet sound needy, but it just wasn't enough for me. Sure, the great moddability of the game should spawn plenty of modules, but I still reckon there was a lot lacking from the depth of the main story. I was so sure I'd end up at the black citadel in the fade at some point, was so sure I'd chase after Morrigan and sort out Flemeth, and (unrelated) was a bit disappointed that I didn't get werewolves to support me in the final battle.

Ah well. Going to play torchlight until some real DLCs/modules come out Posted Image

I'm waiting on some real patches to even get to the experience of being short handed that you are at now.

Bioware is not a company that strikes me as DLC wizards.

38 hours...methinks you didn't do any sidequests...

The reason you've only completed that much of the game is most likely because you haven't played through the game as the other origin stories and haven't chosen to side with other factions.

you played for 38 hours?! wow, what a short game...

I mean I finished it on 38 also, and I skipped some side-quest and tbh this game is worth going 3 rounds, to try all classes from start to finish, and to get 3 diffrent endings+ origins etc.

40 hour is a long game, come on.

I finished Persona 4 on 44 hours, and for ex Giantbomb editors who did the endurance round took 100 hours, so you cant say that its false advs, we play diffrently. some people take it more slow, and some doesnt.

Well i'm almost at 50 hours and i've still got the forest and some sidequests to do.

Admittadly i've been going ridiculously slowly in places along with being stupid in others. Stretching the truth is what advertising is about.

67 hours to do game completely and half of that on casual play so OP must have played entire game on casual, clicked through all the conversations with out listening, and not done the side quests!

I guess its true, some people will find away to complain no matter what.

The game is long enough, the DLC, not so much.

And another slightly interesting fact..until you get 100% completion..you haven't really beaten the game..you have simply completed the storyline..

You think the game is lying to you or something, OP?

I did "most of the sidequests" and had 94% at 83 hours. You did 53% of the game; you obviously didn't do most of the sidequests.

oh..I just read through his post..he is disappointed he couldn't get werewolves...well the fact is that you can..if you play through the game again and make different choices...Things change, its crazy like that.

And How you managed that, I do not know. Heh.

Eitherway I managed to finish Dragon Age at 52hours on my first playthrough with 64% completion. Other origins bring different outcomes, so they will account for quite a bit of that percentage.

I got the best ending also, but I knew the beginning so kind of skipped some parts...

I got the unlock saying 75% of sidequests completed, so yes, I did most of the sidequests.

ah so what people are saying is that 5% of the completion value may come from doing different origins? so I need to play through the beginning 6 times to get to 100%?

Would explain I guess. Can't remember what my time was on it, but I remember I managed to rack up 110 hours on my first playthrough of Persona 3, doing alot of the social links.

Yeah, because different events throughout the game change depending on your origins, like as a Human Noble, you'll confront Howe in Denerim, and if you are of a different origin, you bump into other's as well.

WOW!

38 hours?

I've already invested 30 hours from the start of the adventure and up to the World Map, in which I've completed Redcliffe and Bercilian Forest.

Talk about rushing the gauntlet!

its not just what Kyoz said, they reveal the whole picture.

For ex, if you didnt play dwarf noble, you wouldnt know that behlen was the backstabber and a royal killer, or that your sister in the commoner is dating the "prince" she never revealed who it was on the origin, also you meet characters like Jowan and Soris, which you knew more about if you played the origin concerning them. so for ex when I meet soris I was like... some elf dude in prison, but playing the elf city origin I know why he is in there and why he is "innocent" etc.

So test all even if you have no lust to play them through.

I know that you're joking, but CC can take me 20-40 min... I have no idea why.
Glad Bioware gave us one before launch, made me be ready and just choose exactly what I wanted and ready to go.

My GT "quezcotl" had like 760 gp when I finished the game in 38 hours.
Would have had 50+ more (810) if the DLC wasnt glitched on xbox360.

Those aren't the in game achievements..so they count for nothing here as far as I'm concerned.
