You can't really comment on someone's progression based on his profile in here btw. My profile hasn't been updated since the 11th and the character with which i completed the game today isn't even existing according to my profile :S

Also just cause the guy's profile hasn't updated doesn't mean anything. I finished the game on wendsday with my warrior at level 22, but his profile still shows as level 15.

Charater profiles don't get updated correctly. But achievements do get updated correctly. I have heard many reports of people saying their characters are not up to date. But so far none that's their achievements aren't showing up. So just looking at his achievements tells you that he's not done much in the game.

Also something to take into account in general is that though I can't be 100% sure of this I imagine that DA like most games doesn't take into account Loads from death. So if you go 10 mins without saving and then die well you have to redo that 10 mins but it's not recorded on your final save time. I know cause I've loaded old games to go back and try the alternate path and then made saves on that game and it does play time based off that saved games time and not my total time with the "Main" save.

So even if someone says they finished it in 30 hours odds are depending on how many times they died and had to reload it could of taken quite a few more hours on top of that. Since this isn't a MMORPG after all that tracks total play time.

hemm... been playing since release... still haven't even got to lands meet yet.

only 49% of the game done. I did restart 4 times though, because I didn't like the choices I made.

Replayability is a big word here. Doing stuff like Bhelen - Harrowmont twice --> Playing the game twice don't do ****.

It all comes to the same

--> Inform those 2 nobles (can be done even if you choose harrowmont)

--> Battle Arena (see note 1)

After that it's quite easy isn't it?

--> Kill that woman in the slums

--> Search for Branka

It doesn't lead to a different story, it doesn't lead to different quest chains. It all comes to the same. So that arguement is plain b-****.

Playing with Different characters is something worth considering, I'm on my 2nd playthrough as a Mage now instead of my DW-Warrior. Does it mean anything to your follow people? Abit, but no reason to start over as the "character quests" can be done in 1 playthrough and are quite Pathetic (ruling out Flemeth, but that is something you do in Every game. You have morrigan and the Grimoire)

My main problem with this (great!) game are the following:

- I played Baldur's Gate II , Dragon Age feels rushed compared to this one.

- Static loot. I'm sorry it's dull and boring. Knowing that Flemeth won't drop anything or that the creep in the tower drops Yusaris is ZZzzz and not interesting for a decent MMO. I wan't loottables.

- Lack of different special items, sets. The only cool sets are Massive armor. The others are non existant (except the boring looking fire resistance set)

- Lack of good looking weapons and clothes / armor. I don't want to wear a pineapple on my head as a mage. It feels stupid. All the weapons look the same, they have like 3 models of each class.

- A rushed ending. I felt like entering chapter II of the game after doing the landsmeet. Being at 50% I thought I would get a "Chapter II" after the "how everything went screen". Fighting the Blight and not just that stupid dragon that was WAY too easy even on Nightmare.

- Regions. Not enough, what about Orlais and the part above? I was hoping to venture there for Chapter II or just having the option to sidequest. Wich brings me to my other point.

- Sidequesting, never a big one. Looking for 10 garnets or 10 Lyrium potions is NOT interesting. I'd like a quest chain for a change. Just like in Baldur's Gate where you could free a whole Castle and become the lord just for a side quest for one of my Characters (I didn't even use her!)

I can come up wich so much more, Dragon Age was more then ok. It was a great game if you consider the other games that have been released lately.

But, can it even touch Baldur's Gate's heels? I think not.

The rest of the game is DLC and a sequel.  Some characters will fade away and new ones will join and it will all lead to a dramatic white wedding scene with Morrigan and you live happily ever after.

I believe all your choices are reflected in the epilogue. That is the main reason to start over. To see the difference there. The same is true of BG2, the most important thing is the eilpogue of what happens to all your npcs after the game is over.

Some people must really rush games. I'm at nearly 70 hours, and i'm just about to enter the deep roads (i've done the tower, forests and the castle main quests and all the sidequests I can so far complete. I haven't consciously been taking my time.
