how do you add more ability points ?
Find the character you want to edit. the player is SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR\\SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR, companions are under SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST\\SAVEGAME_PARTPOOLMEMBERS
Open the character's SAVEGAME_CREATURE_STATS\\SAVEGAME_STATLIST. Find the property with a SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_INDEX of 39 (38 are attribute points, 40 are specilization points). Now change the SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_BASE to however many points you want. If it doesn't exist, then click SAVEGAMEN_STATLIST, and click the Add button. Choose SMPL, click Ok, and select the last item under SAVEGAME STATLIST. Change the SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_INDEX from 0 to 39, and change SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_BASE to whatever you desire.
To find other stats, open properties.gda, which is in <Dragon Age 2 Installation Directory>\\packages\\core\\data\\2da.rim. G2DA _COLUMN_3 determines what kind of structure you need to create, 1 for ATTR, 2 for SMPL, and 3 for DPLT, and G2DA _COLUMN_1 is the value you would use for SAVEGAME_STATPROPERTY_INDEX.

Good one, I will add that to the topic I posted.
I am very excited to use this once I beat the game.
That was very close, but it's not 17 and 18 it's 18 and 19.

How will I increase attack speed for rouge?
Some people advocate a lighter brush, but a larger brush helps you apply more. I like the control a smaller brush offers rather than the speed.

By simple, I mean easy for me to use without "figuring it out."
Yes, yes I am lazy. Why do you ask?

EDIT: Nevermind. I created a new save and did the exact same thing I was doing before and it worked. So I'm guessing something was off with my saves.
By the way incase anyone was wondering:
1: Carver/Bethany
2: Aveline
3: Varric
4: Merrill
5: Fenris
6: Anders
7: Isabella
8: Sebastian

Sorry. I probably should have said what it was. In the editor under "SAVEGAME_PARTY_APPROVAL_LIST" there are numbers from 0-8 representing companions. I only realised it was different from under other headdings like "party_pool_members" after I posted and forgot to specify where it was from.
I may be wrong about #1. 0 might be bethany and 1 carver, so if anyone knows feel free to correct me.
Also, my problem was a fluke fix and I can not get changes to stick again. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
