I think that all of the mission based DLC has been great. I like how LotSB was balanced between Mechs, Vanguards, and Engineers, thus you had to keep a semblance of balance in your play. In Overlord, I just used two other tech people.
LOTSB DLC was the best.

while I do agree with you to a certain extent, I'lI must say have to say Liara is much more useful information broker than TIM will ever be; not to mention she actually give you useful resources.
The shadow browker would give the exact same information that TIM would, whatever the plot said they should. If they want you to know that the reapers secret weakness is 3 stooges movies thwy will tell you it. How it is told is pretty much irrelvant. Whether it is Tim, the shadow broker, or a random cabiie named frank. They have certain info they want the player to know, you will know it.
The only difference to the player is which one do you think is a cooler information source. I lean heavily towards frank myself, he drives faster than I am comfortable with but he has a positive attidue and some great jokes. No matter the information source they can give a plausible reason why that person is the purveyor of that information, or at least as plausible as some of the crap we have got in the 1st two installments.
They killed the mystery of the shaodw broker basically for very little story quality gain IMO. I guess at least now we have an excuse to have Liara in ME3, but that's about it.

It does set up ME3 in the way that if you leave TIM and Ceberus Liara could fill that void in 3 as an info broker. Take that TIM. Go get your son straight lol

As far as I can tell the 2 ends for ME2 were, here is the magic device Mr Tim, and shut up **** you work for me now Tim. In both cases you still have access to his intelligence reosurces. If there was a 3rd ending where he cries I don't want to ever see you again you big meanie I somehow missed it.

Rockstar takes DLC to a whole new level, both episodes of GTA IV were fantastic
Lost and the Damned was one of the only positive parts of GTA 4 for me. Ballad of Gay Tony still remains unfinished for me. Drug Wars was copy pasted, characters are five times as stupid and poorly written, overall a mess of story and unbalanced weapons. I think they were going for a "Look how unserious we are, here are some overpowered guns, this is what use to be fun right?" Rockstar makes good games, that is without a doubt, however because of how boring GTA4 itself was, I won't be pre-ordering the next GTA. Well....when they get around to making a port for the PC that is, because there's that too.
To actually get on topic, I really love the Mass Effect series as a whole, but I'll agree with the posts above that LoTSB was by far the best DLC, the best part of Mass Effect 2 (And I thought ME2 was a great game already as well) and one of the most well written action sequences. It is a shame though that the music composer didn't even get a part in ME3. One of the main reasons LoTSB was so freaking awesome was Chris Lennertz and his insanely good score.

Loved LotSB. I hope these vehicle sections appear in Arrival and ME3. The car chase was definitely one of the highlights. It was also great to see more of Liara, and the boss battles were intense on Hardcore difficulty. Only thing I didn't like was that the DLC was geared towards being played after the SM, yet all the upgrades and extra creds/minerals would have been really useful during the main game.

I agree. Second would be overlord, then Kasumi. Overall I am liking the DLC for ME2.

I thought overlord was better cause I like exploring on the hammerhead and its ending is shocking. Guess that's just my personal preference. Lair of the Shadow Broker was still awesome though.

LotSB is better than any mission in the vanilla game IMO.

I liked how they answered to the fans that enjoyed the mako, but I thought the Hammerhead just didnt feel the same at all nor did it quiete satisfy my taste buds to replace the mako. It didnt seem to have the right defenses compared to the mako (although I am one of those that do prefer me2's gameplay mechanics). So it would be nice if they woud perfect and bring that part back in me3, but I wouldnt be crying if they felt it needn't be at all if they couldnt satisfy enough with it.
