I have a Alienware Aurora, Windows 7 64bit, 2 NVIDIA GTS 240 PCIE, 9GB RAM
I originally was unable to play full screen due to Mouse issues but fixed it using EXE Properties compatibility and disableing mouse DPI Scaling. I have updated to the current video drivers. When I play I get to the opening fight sceen and about a munite into it my PC goes blank but music still plays on. Once I got to the Character Customization option and it froze there after ab out 10 minutes. Any fizes I don't know about?

What thermal readings are you getting from your monitoring utility?  (I suspected a clogged or worn out GPU cooling fan meant overheating, which will lead, eventually, to a fried GPU chip.)

You need something similar to Speedfan that will also watch your GPU temps for you, and you need to look into your power supply while it's stopped to see if it's full of dust and lint. Your problem is most likely that either the graphics card gets too hot, or the power supply is doing so.

If you allow the condition to persist, you are asking for a damaged graphics card that will have to be replaced.

Gorath said it good, it's probably because your GPU is getting too hot. I've had similar problem with other games a while ago and after little cleaning inside my computer it stopped being a problem.

I agree with Gorath. But we coulde use a little more info, can you press alt+tab or ctrl+alt+delete to bring up another tab, or how did you get past said "blank screen"?

I had to reboot comp. I found out that I was able to get the game to work (so far) by using DirectX 9 instead of 11. Seems to work OK. I keep you posted if it happens again. I hope this is on their 1st fixes. would like to use DX 11 at some point. :)

It makes no difference if the amount of likely overheating is only slightly reduced, the fact of the condition's very probable existence cannot be overlooked, and cannot be blamed on the game.

I cleaned out my tower and it is working better now. Dx 11 is still a little glitchy but I at least am able to play on it. Thank you for the assistance. Hopefully I have no more issues. (crosses fingers)
