How are you folks beating the game this fast? I've seen numbers on both ends of the spectrum, ranging from 13 hours (supposedly 100%) to 25+ hours (without sidequests).

This is what I'm wondering.  Is everyone doing speed runs or something?  I've been taking my time with the game.  I'm still in early Act 2, and I've already played for 24 hours.  I've been carefully exploring everything and reading all Codex entries, but even with that I find it hard to reconcile such a huge difference in time.

Do you just skip through the dialogue or something?  How did you people getting through it so fast?

Took me 37 hours. And I'm the type of player who's always on the run for the next quest. I don't understand how you can do everything in 16 hours...

I'm at 31 hours now and I guess, I'm almost at the end of act 2 (am looking for Hawke's mother now). I play on normal with almost no battle pausing (only to take potions or get a quick overview of big groups of enemies), did every side quest I stumbled upon, read every codex entry, talked to every person I could talk to (including the "Investigate" options) and went through every room of every house/cave/warehouse to look for loot and codex entries. So my guess is that I will end up with 40-50 hours, which I would be very satisfied with.

The game is long if you do everything. But most of the quests are scavenger hunts to waste your time.

40 hours normal difficulty, not even doing all companion quests (merill and fenris).

Can't see how. Do you not spend any time looking for items in shops/enchanting/respeccing/etc?

OP either lied, or cut through dialogue and all unneccessary quests...because that's impossible to do....you can't "normally" play this game and beat it that quickly.

Just finished my first run through at 62 hours and I will admitt up front that I am no expert. I did do every quest possible, and was pissed off because I messed something up with a certain character and their side quest were not available in the next Act.

I still can't see how someone could do it in so little time or why one would want to do you even get a chance to enjoy the story and dialogue. I have to say when my party banters I stop and listen for fear of missing something funny.

To each his own I guess. More power to you for slamming through it so fast hope it was worth the money for ya.

You guys know all of you can register the game here on your account (or accounts, as many as you want) with these codes so you can post in whatever section of the site you want? They're the same for everyone, nothing you cant find by going to your local game retailer and looking at the bar code on the back of the box (or Google).
