When I was first playing through the game, at 16 hours I would have been just coming out of Act I. Stoopid completionist pass! :P

It doesn't sound even remotely like the original poster was skipping anything. He's got 100 codex entries, so he didn't skimp on exploration, he's level 25, so he didn't skimp on leveling, and he's got "great minds think alike" and a romance badge, meaning he took the time to develop at least 4 characters, at least one of which to the point of romance. The only thing I can think of which would make the run faster is him playing on normal during segments, and if an RPG can be beaten in 17 hours with a good degree of sidequesting it's short.

Same here.  Obviously you did not do everything, or you skipped alot of dialogue.

Maybe, I don't know, my main point is that it's shorter than origins and that there was a lot more story material in this game that could have been covered but was not.

After 70 posts someone defends me <3 plus it hasn't been updated yet, it says level 16 on the achievements.

Honestly I'm not sure why anyone's saying he skipped anything. If he'd just said "finished in 17 hrs" that would be one thing, but he provided a link to achievements that show he played the game with some depth and he showed a screencap of the saves indicating he did actually finish in 17 hours, and it was like the 273rd save on the list of saves. He's clearly not lying.

I just think it's weird that I have made sure to get every quest, and Act 1 alone took me 15 hours, so I don't see how one could finish the entire game in 16. I don't spend alot of time paused and that sort of thing either.

Then again, there was a guy who wrote a review of FF X-2 that beat the entire game 100% completion in 14 hours, when most everyone else it took 30-40, and that's assuming they didn't have to go through the game again in New Game+ mode to pick up stuff they missed to get that 100% completion. He, unlike the OP though, prided himself on how fast he could beat games, and that was his goal, fastest completion times without skipping anything.

I'm at 15 hours, and I don't even have my fifty sovereigns yet. I'm doing the Bone Pit right now.

With Cat-Nip + trigger happy you can end the game in under 8 hours easily.

I don't know, and now Im trying to think if I did perhaps miss something but so far can't seem to find anything that I haven't done.. I was trying to go at a chill pace and get everything and mildly explore.. I wasn't trying to beat it fast quite the opposite really, I just think its shorter compared to origins and there are so many things that could have been added to this game which weren't and too much time was spent in kirkland. Just kind of dissapointed a bit, I had very high expectations for this, great game none the less though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't one of the devs say that there was not enough experience in the game to actually get to level 25 and it was soft capped around 23?

I sometimes envy those who can get through games quickly. They tend to actually finish games, unlike me. :) Hope you enjoyed the game.

Sucks for you. I'm 13 hours into the game and I have not gone to the deep roads yet, and not close to it either, I've been doing companion and sidequests, and so far I'm loving it.

Wow...some of you...give him a break. I don't care how long it took him to finish the game, and some of you shouldn't either. If you want to take your time playing through a game, like an RPG, so be it. The same can be said about those who go through it quicker.

IF you skipped the sidequest and all of the content of the game, you didn't really beat the game.

No wonder it took you 16 hours....

Except he's using the short time as an excuse to bash the game.

Finished Act One in 12 hours. Did every side/companion quest (according to the guide),on normal, skipping no dialogue, reading no codexes.

Now I'm on hour 19,apparently halfway through Act Two.

No, I'm not bashing it at all for that reason, I said that I had very high expectation which were not fully met. The game is shorter than origins with a weaker story and character development, which all could have been remidied if the game was further expanded and more character dialogue was added as well as a different area to continue your story in, spending 10 hours in kirkland isn't that exciting. You also couldn't speak to the characters without having to get a quest and talk to them at their house which took away from emersion. All I was saying that the game feels unfinished and there are many things that could have been added. It being shorter than origins is just proof of it being inferior to it.

Actually on normal this game is a breeze and most people will start on normal. So its not that difficult. For example you can beat the ME2 main story on normal in like 8-10 hours max and that without skipping dialogue. Yeah all your people will die because you did not their companion missions but its the end none or less^^

Overall without schanning Me2 on normal takes 20-25 hours without rushing. Buts that the price for rushing a game out every 2 years right Stanley?

But it being short isn't an excuse for me bashing it. Why would I hate on a series I love? it just happened that the length of the game was a factor in it not being as emersive and vast as origins among other things.

Really? 16.5 hours? Really? I did every single side quest and companion quest and I just beat the game in 16.5 hours. ;

Your PC is level 16. The developers have said they expect most people will finished at level 23-25. I'm level 10 and I haven't even finished Act 1.

So, no, you didn't do all the quests.

Way too short, many plot points were undeveloped and overall I would have liked to seen more, was expecting this game for a really long time and while it was really fun, both the story and the length of the game are a let down.

Jebus christ. I have 14 hours played so far and I'm only level 7 still in year 1. How do you people finish so fast? Do you just burn through the main plot quests and not doing any of the other quests, companion quests etc?

How is that bashing the game? <_<

I wish there was a lot more you can do in the game as well, but I'm still enjoying it, and apparently the OP is too, since I believe he posted a message saying he's on his second playthrough now.
