Well, I think we got a pattern here. My log says the same:

OnlineFeatures::BlazeStateEventHandler::onBlazeStateChange 11 -> 3 (error 800f0000)
OnlineFeatures::OnDisconnected
OnlineFeatures::OnError
Error You have lost your connection to the Dragon Age servers. You will be unable to access online features of the title until you connect again. [3;800f0000(SDK_ERR_DISCONNECT_OVERFLOW)]

Maybe the error-code helps to identify the problem?

Ah, and I didn't change my password since I got the account and the trace worked out just fine.

We believe we've identified the cause of the [3;800f0000(SDK_ERR_DISCONNECT_OVERFLOW)] issue. There are approximately 150 users out there who have uploaded more 30 character profiles to the social site. As soon as they upload their 31st character, the game enters a state where it now fails to synchronize when logging in, causing the login process to abort with the Disconnect Overflow message.

We're working on a variety of solutions to this on the server-side and here on the social site and we intend to have it corrected in time for the launch of our upcoming DLC. You may see some temporary server downtime as we tinker with the server settings and we'll post a notice if that's the case (obviously, people who already can't connect won't notice). Also, we may need to delete some of your character profiles to get you back up and running so we apologize for that in advance.

For those of you who have created a lot of characters but are still able to connect, we encourage you to go to your Options>Account screen and ensure that the "Upload Character Profile" checkbox is unchecked. That should prevent you from reaching this particular state. Sadly, it doesn't correct the issue for those of you already affected.

Oh that is what I was wondering. And considering none of the Hawkes that I've actually completed have uploaded, go ahead and delete away! 

Yeah I change my mind....a lot. Unlike Origins it seems these things upload quick too.

We took the servers down briefly and capped the number of character profiles at 25. Users already over this cap will not be able to add new ones but we haven't yet taken the step of culling profiles from affected users.

I'm having problems logging in as well both on DA2 and DAO. I even went in and changed my password. After I did that, I was able to log in the first time, but after leaving and trying to come back, I haven't been able to connect. Not sure what's going on here, I know I don't want to have to create a new password every time I try to play the game though--that's going to get real old, real fast.

Changed my password again and managed to log in--we'll see if I have any problems logging in again later.  Also received the email regarding the NWN servers--maybe the problems are stemming from that?  Hopefully, everything will be ironed out soon.  With what happened at Sony, Eve Online and here, it's looking like people are targeting online gaming sites--unfortunately.

Starting at 00:05 EDT on 24 June, I receive the "Unable to connect to the Dragon Age/EA Servers" for all three of my current BioWare/EA games: Dragon Age, Dragon Age 2, and Mass Effect 2. Of these, only DA2 was managing to "Keep me Logged-in" for the past many weeks, but at least I could manually log-in for the others. Not any more...

Obviously access to these forums depends on the cached cookie, rather than on presenting new credentials, or I guess I'd be locked out of here a well.

The servers are currently down to fix the above issue, so no one should be able to connect. Since you two only encountered problems today, maybe you're luckier then most of us and it is just that.^^

FYI - We sent out a further round of password updates last night, just to further tighten account security in the wake of last week's hacking attempt against the old NWN servers. Our GM, Aaryn Flynn, has posted an update here - http://social.biowar...index/7664680/1

So, at this point, that's the most likely cause of newly emerging login disruptions and is unrelated to the server downtime and the actual character profile / login bug we're currently working on. Sorry, I know it's a little confusing. I'll keep this thread posted with any updates regarding the actual bug.

Not sure if this is the place to ask this? It would be incredibly helpful if we had a place to manage our characters like we do with Origins... I have a few characters uploaded that I never really used and would sure like to delete them.

Thanks Rob. It was the "We went ahead and changed your password for you." issue that was affecting my account. (I did receive the email from Aaryn Flynn, about two hours after posting my original query...)

Any word on when the "legacy" BioWare Boards sites (or the registered game info they contained) might be back up?

So does this have anything to do with the constant "Unable to connect to the online storage server" message that I keep getting when I try to access the profile diagnostics page?

Edit: This is for DAO. I haven't touched DA2 in awhile. The EA support rep directed me to this forum.

Having the "unable to login" error, keeps saying my login address or password is incorrect, though they ARE correct, as i have no problem signing into the site manually.

You cannot get by with using any character other than a straight alphanumeric in a password. It will fail to be recognized at various critical junctures.

NOOOOOOOOOO i lost everything since my comp crashed reinstalled most but I CANT REGISTER ANYTHING WITH THIS DAMN ERROR!!!! im soo pissed off right now! does anyone know a fix or do i have to wait until this is solved to play the game again?!?!

Also if there is no fix is there anyway I can transfer these bonuses to my other account? That one does not have the bug. I only need to transfer signature edition bonuses, exiled prince, and black emporium.

Account problems cannot be solved by other game players. This is a Self- Help forum by gamers for gamers. Accounts are exclusively EA's bailiwick, not anything we can deal with here.

When you say "Straight Alphanumeric" i believe you mean a-z & numbers, without special characters? In that case i still have a problem, because my password is only numbers and letters, though i have letter at the beginning and end, but that shouldn't be an issue.
Unless i'm missing something, it used to work, but has stopped recently, which is strange.

For the failure to log into the server question, they have found the problem and are trying to fix it now. They have already created the error so they know what is causing it. Hoping it will be fixed soon.
