My username (email address) and password still work for the forums and for updating my profile, etc., but when I go to the ea.com site to change my password (as suggested many times in this forum), my username/password are considered invalid.

This explains why DA2 won't let me connect to the servers, but does not explain why my account is no longer fully valid nor what I should do to fix it. I'd just create a new account if I didn't have every ME1, ME2, DA and DA2 add-on there is. :-)

Edit: OK, using the I forgot my password option (even though I didn't ^_^), I was able to reset my password, and even update my email address, which is something I was overdue for. I am now again able to login properly via DA2.

Rob,

Thank you for the answer. The problem is finally fixed!

Guess what? My husband messed with Windows security policies, resulting in Dragon Age 2 being unable to modify files in the /My Documents/Dragon Age 2/ directory. The log was there but have not been updated in a while since the new Windows security policies prevented write access.

Now that the write access has been restored on My Documents, Dragon Age 2 seems to be OK: after logging once, now logging is automatic and it is possible to create new saved games.

In the end Bioware's fault amounts to not giving any feedback to the user when something goes wrong. It would have prevented me to lose several hours of gameplay, unaware of the issue until my character die and need to reload.

Thank you again, now I have to make sure that my husband regrets it! :-)

I cannot seem to log in to Dragon age 2 so i can install or at least Authorized my DLCS It says i'm not connected to the internet as I'm typing this :S

It says when i try to log in in the DA2 main page "You must be conntected to the internet to access online features of this title"

I am using Windows 7 i tried turning off my UAC and Turning off my firewall, and no use.
I can enter Games like NWN and games i bought off steam online no problem.

You may need to update your .NET Framework and C++ Redistributable 2008/2010 packs through the Windows Update feature or from the Windows website. You also may need to add the game to the exception list of your antivirus.

I don’t know what the heck EA or whoever did but first I had to create a new password for Bioware/EA, and also because Dragon Age 2 kept saying it couldn’t log into the server because it couldn’t recognize my password. Did that, now every time I start Dragon Age 2 I have to log back in to the server because the game is now refusing to remember my password – I can use it to log in, I also check the log me in automatically box, yet when I quit the game and start back up I have to log in again.

And no, I'm NOT logging out when I quit the game.

What in the world is going on here????

Thanks.

I am having a problem as well connecting into Dragon Age 2. This is also a recent problem for me, it started about a month or two ago. I should of reported this earlier, but anyways.
Here is what I am seeing.

1) I will open up DA2 and sometimes it will be already logged in and other times it wont.
2) Once I am logged in and I click load game, the game will freeze for a free moments and I will see
(You have lost your connection to the Dragon Age servers. You will be unable to access online features of the title until you connect again.)
3) Then I click back and return to the main menu to log back in. This works and I am able to load and play until it will disconnect after some period of time which is random from what I can tell and then the above steps happen again.
4)And everytime I open DA2 it follows this pattern.

I read all of the Bioware posts on here and a few of the posts that had suggetions that worked for them but it does not seem to help me. So as you can image I have become tired of relogging in every few minutes or so. <_<

Here is my error codes found in my log files as I saw Rob suggest in a earlier post. Hope It helps.

OnlineFeatures::BlazeStateEventHandler::onBlazeStateChange 11 -> 3 (error 800e0000)
    OnlineFeatures::OnDisconnected
    OnlineFeatures::OnError
    Error You have lost your connection to the Dragon Age servers. You will be unable to access online features of the title until you connect again [3;800e0000(SDK_ERR_SERVER_DISCONNECT)]

Hope the information I provided helps,
Thanks.

My online release date check is not working. I have installed the game and DirectX. I have taken down my firewall and turned my antivirus program off. I ran the program as an administrator. I unistalled and reinstalled.

When I get to the ORDC, I press "accept". The window with the loading bar opens up, but absolutely nothing happens. Can someone please help me (since EA's customer service is as useful as a skunk with its head stuck in a jar of peanut butter)?

I realize that this question has probably been answered in here somewhere, but I'd rather not comb through seventeen pages of posts after wrestling with this for 2+ hours.

Also having trouble logging in.

After about 50 tries using my legitimate password I tried to reset my password, on the EA site, but the page wouldn't update, so now I have no password at all. Also the EA login does not recognize my username. I hope trying to rest my password doesn't mess up all my other accounts, but I bet it will, won't it? What a mess.

HELLLLLLLOOOOOOO?

I can't log in, and I can't change my password. I can get an email to reset my password, but the link does not work. I can cut and paste it, but I get an error message saying that the address is invalid.

Could someone PLEASE help me? I need to rest my password. I don't feel safe here any longer, knowing that I can;t change my account to make it safe if I need to. Whose liability would that be?

I have used the forum's PM system last night, and sent you a Personal Message with that system. Look for it.

I was having issues logging into my account in game (kept telling me my password was wrong or it was unable to connect to EA servers).
I tried patching the game, I checked my firewall and anti virus settings, there appeared to be no reason for it not working. I checked the games logs which told me my issue was apparently an incorrect password, which I knew couldn't be right since the password was working to log in to my account both here and on the EA site.
Eventually I ended up changing my password to not include any non alphanumeric characters, which seems to have fixed it. Seems EA doesn't want us to have particularly secure passwords?

Hopefully this could help anyone else having the same issue.

That has been a relatively well known item for two years. I am surprised you didn't learn about it from the Archives. Did you try using the badly crippled on-site "Find" instead of a proper search? Google, Yahoo, or Bing will all actually do some useful searching here by adding the site redirector to the criteria:

site:social.bioware.com

I changed my password and Dragon Age 2 doesn't get it, so I can't connect. It just tells me I got no internet connection, but that's totally wrong because my internet is perfectly fine.

There's just no way I can change enter the new password. It just tells me that it's my account and that's it. It doesn't allowe me to change the password.

Also if you put any special characters in the password, most/all bioware games can't use them

Hi im new here. I just installed my DA2 yesterday; I can't seem to 'log in' in DA2 at all. Everytime it displays "The Dragon Age servers are temporarily unavaliable. Please try again" and won't let me activate my DLCs.

I tried
-disabling firewall/norton
-resetting password

Please HELP!

"We're Sorry, an error has occurred
