Hi everyone - to help coordinate the clutter, I'm creating a series of official sticky threads covering major issues.

This is the official thread for any issues that are preventing you from INSTALLING DLC (Black Emporium, Signature Edition, Exiled Prince, Hi-Res Texture Pack, etc). If you're experiencing such an issue or have a
solution to such an issue, please post and discuss it here.

For installation issues involving the main game, please post to the following thread instead - http://social.biowar...t_topic/6442580

Thanks!

UPDATE: March 11, 10:00 pm MST

For those confused about how to redeem and download your DLC files, we've posted clearer instructions to the following page - http://social.bioware.com/redeem/

The Black Emporium won't install because it says that the game is not installed. The game is installed through steam and I have verified the files and that doesn't fix it. How do I resolve this? I had the same issue with the hi-def texture pack.

For those that are having problems with Steam and DLC,  found this in another thread and it worked for me

Iwasdrunkbro wrote...

I got it to work. Close Steam out completely then relog into it and run the game. Close the game and try to install again. Should work.

I think you need to launch DA2 at least once, then quit the game. Then you should be able to install the DLC.

I'm trying to install the Black Emporium.

I'm running Windows 7 (x84), and I've tried running as administrator and under compatibility mode.

When I try to delete the setup file it says:
"The action can't be completed because the file is open in DA2_BlackEmporum.exe"
So it is running/starting to run but not actually launching the setup program.

I just spent about an hour on the EA support chat with a very helpful person that helped me out with activating Black Emporium and Exiled Prince (he provided the codes through chat). I have purchased my SE for the PC a while back, registered it this morning when the game unlocked (EU) but the DLC codes were nowhere to be found.

My question is, do the extra items for the SE appear automatically on the entitlements page after you register your game, or is there a seperate code that needs to be activated like the other 2 DLC? ATM, the only DLC I have are the 2 aforementioned ones, the boots and the different promotional stuff (Legends etc etc.) but no the SE stuff.

ps. this is the SE digital version from the EA store.

How do you get the Black Emporium? I bought DA2 through Steam and it's not showing up anywhere, the game tells me to download it from the Bioware site but it's not recognizing any of my codes.

ok... i made it^^ apperantly the manual installation works after you restart your pc :3

review of steam users: go into your library, click dragon age 2, look for the CD Key button on the right, copy to clip board the codes and enter em at; this site (below your profile-> profile-> redeem promo code-> rinse and repeat for mulitple keys), then go to your registered content, view the "more information" for the black empodium (or what else), download the file, run the file ->it works? good! if not-> restart your pc-> run the file again-> now it should work! (at least it did for me now

I was unable to install the High res patch a post I found said to change your computers region/locale settings (through control panel) to a different region and back and I was finally able to install, I didnt have trouble with any other DLC, but the post I read said that method works for problems installing Black Emporium

Because you need to log into social.bioware.com , click your "profile" under your portrait, goto "your registered game content" and download the few pack you need to download, GL

I have downloaded Hi-resolution package & Dark Emporium. When I install, it shows that it requires Dragon Age II to be installed and ask me to try again after the installation.

I have already installed Dragon Age II and have spent over 15 hours playing it with plenty of in game saves.

I have tried the followings:
- Launch the launcher and close it and run the installer of DLC and hires pack, didn't work
- Changing the region to US on windows (I am using XP), didn't work
- Enter game and logout of my EA account, then try to install DLC, didn't work

I used EADM to purchase the game

I'm having a different kind of problem, I've registered the "Black Imporium" DLC, but i can't seem to figure where i have to download it, I've been searching the site for 20 minutes, just to find a download-link. I've also tried to relaunch the game several times, in hope that the process was automated, but without any luck.
Anyone who can give me some advice on how to find the DLC?
