Alright, so I'm doing the Black  Powder Courtesty quest, the part where you're with the gas barrels. And I did the thing with the steel rod ---> disable barrell -----> Fight ---> New Steel rod appears for the first two, but after that, suddenly a new steel rod didn't appear. I've tried clicking on everything, walked everywhere, trying to trigger something, but I just can't seem to get a steel rod to appear, or failing that, something to happen, at least!
I'm really worried because I have the can't save glitch, so basically since you can't leave the area until this quest is finished, if this is truly a glitch I'm screwed.

So, I thought I would ask here to see if anyone else had this problem, or if I'm just somehow missing an important item or trigger or something because I'm worried.

Just had the same exact thing happen to me. Did a google and saw you pop up. Looks like we found a glitch.

I found that while doing the quest the rods would sometimes appear invisible inside one of the corpses/just unable to see them. They were however marked on the map as quest markers, following this I ran into that generall area and press my r key. Hawke automatically went and grabbed said rod.

There must be a glitch. I had the exact same thing happen to me. Ive been through the entire area multiple times, including while pressing Tab to highlight all usable objects, and nothing. Ill be sending in a ticket on this.

I had the same glitch, when I reloaded and tried again it worked ok. One thing I noticed is that on the glitched run the end dialogue about telling someone something played after the 2nd fight and the rod never appeared.
