I have played the game from start to finish 2 times now (yes I have no life :P ).  Anyway, I have a hand full of bugs I would like to share that I found.  I didn’t see any official channel to provide these so if this is in the wrong spot someone tell me.

*** SPOILER WARNING ***

Some of these bugs can only be described by spoiling some of the story... you have been warned.

1. After about 5+ hours of game play I have noticed the AI starts to fall apart.  For example if I started a game and played though the beginning, the mage tower (in full) and then went to redcliff the AI for the zombies fail to activate when they attack the city.  They just stand there at the top of the hill.  If I close the game and/or restart my system the save game loads fine as if there was no issue at all.  When the game gets to this state I also notice that the load screens go from about 5 ot 10 seconds for my computer to about 1 or 2 minutes.  I also notice that enemies will not fall over when they are dead and other random bugs that all seem to be spured off this.  Maybe a memory problem?  I have seen this at least 3 times, but hard to reproduce consistently.

2. The mage collective guy at the Lake sometimes talks to me without moving his mouth when turning in a quest.

3. There are a few NPCs at the Elf area in Denerim that called my Female character "Sir".  There are a few other NPCs elsewhere that use the incorrect gender but I can't remember where exactly.  If I notice more I will post them as well.

4. At the end when I talked Alistar to Marry the Queen and used him on the final blow to the Archdemon, the ending "text" for him said that he was married and they ruled together and so on, even though he was dead.

5. When using the werewolves to take out the Danish, I still have the "Ellora's Halla" quest even though the NPC for it is now dead.  Thus it can never be completed.

6. In Orzammar, talked to the NPC that starts the Prince Baline quest line then tell him you will "think about it".  After that start and complete the proving quest to get start getting Heramont as the King, you will see that the quest for Prince Baline's quest line is still active and cannot be completed.

Hope this helps your dev team Image IPB

Thanks again for all the hard work.

Em

2 more...

7. At the end of the Tower in Ostagar, any equipment you put on you 1 or 2 Tower guard / Tower Mage is lost. I lost my Helm of the deep once this way. Had to reload and unequip him before lighting the tower.

8. On the last quest of "Crime Wave", if you select that you will give the tear to the Chantry personally, the quest goes to complete without setting it to the final state. As in, the NPC still tells me 'Good luck getting the tear" when I talk to him, the quest marker is still over his head and the quest itself has the arrow symbol and nto a check mark... even though it is in the completed tab.

In regards to the second one noted in the original post. It looks like all of the MAge Collective guys have the bug regardless of the town you turn the quest in at. Seems to be related to the later ones of the quest line.

do you have the toolset? if so some of this may be the result of a toolset glitch. Check the Troubleshooting FAQ for the "Fix for strange issues..."

I do not have any mods installed. I doint even have the toolset downloaded. My reports are from the pure base installed of the game from steam with the most current patch.

I was able to complete the game with number 6 still active. I found no way to remove it from my quest log.

On bug number 3 I found that Ser Landrey has "Sir" when he first talks to my female character and when he talks to you again later if you fight him. Might not be an issue... he does seem like a stuck up idiot and just might not be able to tell or just is to formal about the whole "im a knight and better then you" thing.

and...

9.  Complete the joining ritual with Davith having a bow equiped and NO arrows (as in the default no bonus arrows)  When you get his stuff after the joining you will have an "arrow" in your inventory.  More of a laugh, but you can have someone with a sword and shield equip that arrow while still keeping the sword and shield.  Funny to see a quiver on top of the sword all glitch like.

10.  I noticed some clipping issues with the female elves on the city elf starting area.  The bottom part of the neck seems to clip over the standard clothing tops.  First noticed on the couple that use to know the Hero's mother and gave me 15 silver.  (this is with the highest vedio settings with no V-Sync and 1600x900 / 16:9 aspect)

Found some more

11. I know it has been reported before, but might as well say it as I found it too. Drawf noble quest line removes your special ingame items from pre-order and the flash game.

12. Alistar's personal ring item that says "Restriction: Alistar" can be equiped by any party member aside from the main character. I found this while in camp and was able to equip it on Wayne, Morgain, and other party members.

13. I have seen this posted before, but if you keep exiting the Urn's room you keep getting exp. So, if I complete the urn quest and get the pinch (the "good" way by killing the cultiest), and keep goining the temple and exiting from the back you can get unlimited EXP. I did it 4 times to confirm the bug and to get level 14 at the same time :P

14. I have noticed at times the spells "Winter's Grasp", "Sunder Arms", and "Sunder Armor" likes to hit 2 times with one cast. I do not know if this is a bug or a way for them to "crit". This one is a little hard to reproduce because it is not every time. If you play a while with those abilites you should see it happen. There might be more spells that have this effect but I have only see it happen form these so far. I make this claim be seeing the health bars lowering 2 times and damage numbers showing above enemies 2 times on one cast.

15. The blood armor has the text that the bonus is applied when all 4 parts are on a character, however if I remove the helm the "bonus" spell icon is still on the character.

16. When you dispell a party member it also remove the Telekinetic Weapon buff, even if that buff is not from the person being dispelled. The only way to get the weaopn buff back is to use turn it off and back on mid fight or after.

17. Runes that provide additional damage (fire/cold/lighting) do not seem to work with a lot fo the 2-handed abilities. If they are adding damage then it is not showing up above the head of the enemy. Example Mightly Blow or Two-Handed Sweep. I think this also applies to slowing or other runes that have a "proc" effect and I have not seen a single proc effect when using a special ability as of yet.

(edit)
18. It looks like he achivement for Heavy Hitter does not take into account a "Mark of Death".  In my play time when I was attempting this I had the following buffs: "Rally", "Heroic Offence", "Legion of the Dead Armor Bonus", and "Song of Courage".  At level 15-18 I was getting 250 to 265 hits with a full bar of stam with Final Blow on targets that had a "Mark of Death".  Once I was level 20 I was able to pull off a crit 264 damage Final Blow with all the same buffs but no Mark of Death.  Got the achivement that time.

I got the same result with Allister after i got him married off and then spared him years of torture and anguish and had him kill the dragon. Lo and behold he still has to be kind and married to that harpy while dead.

I also had the Bhelen quest stick in my journal after choosing Harrowmont.

Comes from cutting short the play testing, I guess. Otherwise and immaculate and incredible game!

Yeah, I got this too.  Shame his sacrifice wasn't properly honoured =(  Also, gutted I couldn't talk him out of dying as I had planned to kill the archdemon.

Female characters are not being called 'sir', but 'ser'. You can see it in written dialogues ingame too (Ser Cauthrien), it is a similar title of respect, but applied to females. Similar also to Oblivion's 'sera', an attempt to give a title signifying knighthood (or something similar) to female characters in games.

its not just female characters, it applies to all characters. i believe this influence is from A Song of Ice and Fire.

Ruck's mother Filda in Orzammar (Quest: "A Mother's Hope")

After completing the quest the active quest symbol above her head is still there.
No more dialogue options with her. Told her Ruck was dead, because he asked me to.
Quest is marked as completed with correct journal entry.

PS: Had that Bhelen quest not disappearing although I sided with Harrowmont, too.

I had that too.  In my case I went out to the deep roads and didnt run into Ruck before I came back.  Told her I couldn't find him.  Then when I did find him I couldn't talk to her again to tell her otherwise.

Another bug:

I have a dual wielding warrior. I keep Rally and Momentum on at all times. Whenever I transition to another zone, the attack and defense keep adding up...at the time I quit my attack was 757 and defense was 717...fought Cauthrien and she never hit me once - was very unfair. I am not sure when it happened, but I noticed it after selecting the final Champion talent (cant remember name but it affects Rally). Makes the game way too easy.
