Hey guys first time posting, tried to keep the title un-spoilertastic

My query is about the Anvil of the Void for the Paragon of her Kind quest underneath Orzammar, spoilers ahead

I'm siding with Bhelen since he seems like the better option, however I'm stuck on deciding whether to destroy the anvil or keep it, I hear if you keep the anvil Harrowmont goes a bit mad with power later in life and starts using the casteless as unwilling volunteers, and once they run out of castless they begin hunting humans on the surface, so I'm leaning towards destroying it

However I've not found out how Bhelen reacts to having it, I'm assuming that since he's already pretty ruthless it can't be good

I've got Morrigan, Lelianna and Oghren in my party, I'm a little worried that if I choose to go against Branka that I'll lose Oghren as an ally, will he leave/turn against me? Or will I just lose some favour?

Thanks for any help, hope to hear from you soon

Oghren will be mad if you destroy it, but he can be persuaded to be less mad. IMO it depends if you are trying to be evil or good in the game. The good path is destroying it, and the evil path is keeping it. The only difference it makes is the final fight with the archdemon where you can summon golem reinforcements if you have them and it changes your epilogue a bit.

The way to keep Oghren sweet is to side with Branka over Caradin, but then convince Branka herself to destroy the anvil. I've not actually played that scenario out though, and I'm guessing Leliana might not take well to fighting Caradin.
The bottom line is that yes, Oghren does take an approval knock, but he understands. It's not a crisis point for him. He won't turn against you if you destroy the anvil.

So far I could never get myself to preserve the anvil. When you side against Branka, Oghren will loose a bit of approval, but he will regain most points upon destruction of the anvil. IIRC it is like 1 or 2 points he drops in approval after that.
He is a hopeless drunk anyway. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my fav (comical) companions. But he (and Thedas) is better off without wicked Branka and the anvil - I guess all the involuntary golems-to-be would agree.
Btw. when you got Morrigan in your party, she can be easily convinced with a fair amount of coercion and will loose at most -1 approval.
