All in all I am enjoying my play through so far (just got back from the deep roads) although due to the lack of a tactical camera to let me better see the battlefield and position casting I gave up on a nightmare run and downed it to hard.  This game is not as good as Origins by any streach but most of the changes haven't phased me that much, with one glaring... nay infuriating diffrence.  Spawning/respawning enemies.  Now sure, this happened in the first game.  From time to time more deamons would come out of the fade to attack you, skeletons would pop out of the dirt to fall on your blade and spiders would crawl out of dark corners of caves to attack you mid combat.  But it was never the norm, it happened just often enough to keep you from being complacent and kept you on your toes.

Enter Dragon Age II where the exact opposite is true.  I find myself completely unable to tactically position my people because it seems that in every freaking fight enimes jump in from... where exactly?  It feels like my foes slipped the developer a fifty so that they could jumpcut more of their breathren into existance... right next to my mages... on the far side of the room from my tank.  Oh look, my mages that were safe are now dead and there goes the tank and then the rogue.  Now let me be clear, I'm fine with this happening every now and then if only to as I said keep me on my toes but this is getting ridiculous.  I have even seen Quinari (probably didn't spell that correctly but screw it) jump down on my party while in a cave.  A cave!  And not just one but a whole freaking horde of them.  Where the hell were they hidding?  Did they know I was comming?  And why did they wait until only one of their breatheren was left alive before jumping in to attack me?  Its gotten to the point where I never fight enemies in the room they start in and just kite them out down the hall to another room that I have cleared, cycle rinse repeat (once I had to do this five times) until the room finally stops crapping out monsters.

Ok, so this has turned into a wall of text so I'll wrap it up.  Spawning new foes in every fight makes it so that tactics don't matter and you can never aproach a fight with a plan, and my back line having crap spawn on it every two minutes is driving me crazy.
