I am having problems trying to run this game through steam when I go to choose add a non steam game to the list and add the dragon age 2 launcher file then try run it through steam I get this error
The following file could not be found dragon age 2.xml please someone help I am begging!

make a shortcut to the game executable in the bin_ship folder, drag the shortcut to your desktop, then add that to steam.
should work fine after that.

just in case you havnt already, run the game standalone first, then quit out and try to add it as above.

And why does it say I need to install the game every time I run the auto play from the disc?

dunno, maybe you didnt have administrator rights when you installed it, and it didnt install properly.

try installing it by right clicking autorun.exe and selecting "run as administrator" if you run out of ideas
