Game reviews from big magazines / websites are not to be trusted. They HAVE to appease the publisher / studio w/e. If a game is ****, they wont come out and say it. Although one has in the past, and got sacked for it. FF13 is a classic example, that game was pure garbage, but gained high reviews from many.

FFXIV got high reviews you say, and from BIG reviewing magazines and sites? Hardly.

You should really learn what 13 is in roman numerals.

My mistake, I automatically assumed FF14, which would be no surprise since it was deemed awful.
Also it was a better comparision anyway

On a humerous note, Korea raids Japanese websites not with scripts or DDoS attacks but by shear numbers. They litterally get hundreds of people to F5 2ch until it goes down.

Maybe something fishy. But go to Gamespot. There are already like 1500 reviews for pc. Although metacritic has twice the console reviews of Gamespot on the game but it doesn't seem to be absurdly bad. The PC version is at 7 while the console versions are at about 8.4 on Gamespot. That's pretty interesting.

As people point out, disappointed people are more likely to go online about it. The more people are dissapointed the more reviews there will be.

They evaluated the french version .. Which had a very mediocre voice acting compared to the first one(which was at certain point of higher quality than the original ) .

Mass Effect 1 got a 91 and Mass Effect 2 got a 96. Dragon Age Origins got an 86 and Dragon Age 2 got an 81. Those are the "professional reviews" so they don't lie, Dragon Age 2 is the worst game of the 4 and possibly the worst Bioware reviewed game. Raid or no raid, Dragon Age 2 is no improvement, i think it can be safely said that while it dosen't utterly suck, its not up to standart and not really worth the 60 bucks, at least in my opinion.

Yeah...but I can't even find another PC game with 1000+ user reviews...certainly not 5 days after release.

Kind of defeats the purpose... you read the reviews in order to decide whether to buy a game. I think Bioware is playing it off... wouldn't you? If millions were at stake?

All that matters is me, and those like me... we haven't bought it yet, and don't know if we will. Pretty scary, huh.

4chan or not, doesnt really matter. the fact is its painfully obvious metacritic was raided by bitter people outraged over minor changes and nuked its score down out of spite.

bull**** - metacritic wasn't raided at all.
Users gave their bloody reviews because they felt they'd been had. And discontent is a much better motivator than satisfaction.

but honestly, READ the reviews and decide, on what base the reviewers give out their scores. And DA2 simply has so much more speaking against it than not.

I personally take the user reviews with a pinch of salt. I'd never base buying a game on them. I simply look at the critic reviews, which tells me that DA2 isn't great.

Dragon Age: Origins got a 91. You can't go off the lowest score for some games and then the highest scores for others. Taking the highest score is the norm. DAO: 91, DA2: 82.

Those metacritic reviews are just from butthurt kids. There's no way they played classical RPGs, none of them have the maturity to be an adult. The 5/10 star reviews? These people have more maturity. There's no way DA2 deserves 1 star but I don't think it deserves 10 either. I'd say it deserves 8 and 7.5 at sometimes.
