Do you really want Baldur's Gate 3?

...Bioware: Baldur's Effect 3 (Dumbed do... oh, sorry, streamlined!)
...Bethesda: The Elder Gates: Baldout 3 (Oh look, graphics and freedom. And... nothing else)
...Obsidian: BUGur's Gate 3 (*crash-freeze-crash-freeze*)
...and so on

Nobody should do Baldur's Gate III (especially not Obsidian *shudder*). The story is done. Deal.

Bethesda makes my favorite games, but BG isn't their sort of thing. Obsidian is probably the best match among folks who come readily to mind.So long as they incorporated the lessons on modular design they claim to have learned from New Vegas ...

Wait why do you guys want a Baldur's Gate 3? I mean the story was wrapped up in Throne of Bhaal so any game that uses the title is just milking the franchise.

What I want to see is an RPG that can match the greatness of Baldur's Gate 2 that doesnt rely on the name to sell, however it is painfully clear that Bioware is no longer upto the task.

If done right it would be the biggest game of all time. But saying that I doubt any company could to do right in this day and age. Meaning taking their time to develop worth of having the title baulders gate 3.

Who need everything voice acted?

We are living in the cinematic experience games era.

Reading isn't cool anymore.

Well as I stated in my post , sales result proves your wrong. DA:O with very limited voice acting vs ME2 with full one.
DA:O sold more copies in total.

So how would you propose a continuation of the Baldur's Gate story would work? Have the player continue where he left off as a god or start the storyline again from scratch? Of course you could set another game around the city Baldur's Gate and have it unrelated to the events of the past game however why not set it in another area of Faerun?
