Hey guys. Im near the end..Right then Delilah Howe is supposed to show up near the chantry to give you the finding Nathaniel quest. Nathaniel lived in my awakening and I uploaded that save. Why isnt this quest showing up?

The requirements say you need to have a Awakenings port where Nathaniel survived. Mine did and I ported it. It says chapter 3...it's chapter 3. Well into chapter 3. And ive checked between every mission. It just says I need to talk to Delilah Howe near the chantry..but she's not here.

I don't seem to have an endgame save from Awakening. Does it not register that he's alive because there was no epilogue save?

If you did the "Fools Gold" quest in act II, you cannot do "finding nathaniel" in act 3.

I'm not sure, the official strategy guide says that if you do Fools Gold (rescue the 3 dwarf brothers from the deep roads) you can't do Finding Nathaniel. Nothing else is stated, no reason why :|

Fools gold was availible for me. It doesnt say that if you do it you cant do finding Nathaniel..It says that it's only availible if he died or wasnt recruited. So odd.

Nevermind..it says that near the bottom. Dammit. That shoud be printed in friggen HUGE letters at the very beginning.

Nathaniel didn't die in my Awakening game. I left him at the Keep and saved Amaranthine, but Vigil's Keep didn't fall, it said so when I uploaded my save into DA 2. So why would I have gotten the Fool's Gold quest instead of Finding Nathaniel?

Okay, I saw the part where it said you can't do the quest if you accepted Fool's Gold. Still don't understand why they are mutually exclusive. There's no connection between the two quests. This sucks!

I'm well into Act 3, didn't do the Fool's Gold quest, and Delilah Howe is nowhere to be found. And I'm positive Nathaniel survived in Awakening. I want my cameo and quest.

I'm not as upset about missing the cameo. I can always get it on another play through. But I want Bethany back in my party, and that's the only way I can get her.

No it isn't. She makes a cameo again, that's all. She is gone for good after Act 1. Same for Carver.

No it isn't. She makes a cameo again, that's all. She is gone for good after Act 1. Same for Carver.

No, they can rejoin your party during The Last Straw Quest at the end of the game if you do the Finding Nathaniel quest.  But that's the only way if you let them become a Warden.  I have the guide.

 The same thing is happening in our playthrough. We imported a Dragon Age: Origins save file in which we had played Awakening through to completion; Nathaniel was recruited and lived through the epilogue. Because we were so excited to see Nathaniel again in Act 3, we didn't do the Fool's Gold sidequest in Act 2. Yet, we have looked for Delilah Howe outside the Chantry and keep returning there to find her (now in Act 3) but she isn't there.

The guide doesn't say so, but I wonder if you also have to complete Nathaniel's personal quest (finding his sister) and complete his Joining during Awakening to have her appear.  Otherwise he wouldn't know she's alive and he wouldn't be a Warden in the first place.  The whole basis for his appearance in DA2 is that he's with other Warden's who were attacked in the Deep Roads.

Yeah, that makes sense (and I've definitely had problems with the guide not mentioning the little in-between steps before!) but we did Nathaniel's personal quest and completed his Joining in Awakening too... As far as I know we've completed all the steps, so I really don't get it.

If you have a PC you can activate the 'FInding Nathaniel quest' again, it's what I did.

runscript zz_dae_debug, it's in there remember to 'activate' it, do not jump to the Underdark area as it will bug.

This will obviously, need an enabled developer's console. Which you can read about here.

She didn't show up for me until about halfway through for Act 3. Also, I didn't import any Awakening saves, I just used one of the games defaults. So his quest will show up whether or not you import an Awakening, save, I'm guessing.

Nevermind, Bethany did show up for the final quest even though I didn't do the quest for Nathaniel. Next time, though, I'm gonna try to do the Nathaniel mission so maybe he'll show in the final battle. I had Zevran show up this time.
