As you can see below, there are green pixels on my map. I did try to chance the video setting and update my ATI but it did not work.  Anyone having the same problem with me? or any idea how can i fix it?

p/s: beside the map problem, the game runs fine - no graphical problem except for the map.

my laptop specification:
Window 7
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7100
(1.8 GHz, 800 MHz)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300
2GB DDR2

I am sorry, but there is no support for below-minimum graphics, and when it is THAT far below, there really isn't much you can do, just drop the resolution as far as if will go and all image quality also to low.

You will have to deal with it until you can replace the laptop. There is no way to upgrade the graphics in such machines.

Getting a new laptop wont be easy but of course i have get one, since most of the games now days are high graphic. Well, i guess i have to play without the map. But i would like to hope that Bioware could fix it since there are people like me who are still using old graphic cards.

Thanks for the fast respond.

It just isn't possible to go both ways. When the games add new bells and whistles, the old things get left behind, but in your case, you (or whoever made the purchase) chose to go for the lowball price. That graphics card was already slow when it was brand new, so truthfully, there's no loss. You got plenty of use out of it anyway.

Hey, it's a four year old LAPTOP video card that was bad when new. It has one fourth as many shader processors as the practical minimum card, half as many Texture Units, one-sixth of the bandwidth, and the list keeps on going.

i updated at ATI site. The driver updated to "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2300 (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)". I'm hoping this is the latest version.

check out the following link/address for the latest driver suite for your Graphics and make sure the revision numbers are the same. Could tell from your previous comments if you're using Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit, so dropping links for both.

Windows 7 32-bit driver

Windows 7 64-bit driver

By all rights your card isn't that much under the minimum of what the game calls for so hopefully we can figure this out, without just chalking it up to being an old card. I know I still run a radeon X1300 on my rig and the game plays smoothly at it's lowest settings just missing the map like you are but at time the minimap will be half way readable at times.

Hey I'm getting the same thing:
Window 7 64-bit
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5400+ 2.81GHz
Radeon X1650
2 GM Ram
I tried lowering the graphics options and it's still showing that for the map and mini map. updated my graphics card and it's still there. Not sure what else to do at this point.

Update:  Okay problem fixed just had to reinstall the updated software for my graphics card and everything works perfectly now.

All three graphics devices named are below the official minimum and thus, not supported for official technical assistance, but the X1650 is at least in the neighborhood, while the X1300 is / was all the way out to the county line.
