He started the collapse of the Chantry, where the Warden saved the world, Hawke decided to give the world the perverbial middle finger. :P

Hawke was there but Hawke didn't do any of that, which as the entire point of Varric's story.

This, the whole 'Hawke started a war' thingy, he didn't Anders did, at best Hawke distracted a priest whilst Anders set the whole thing in motion. Judging by the way Varric has to spell everything out to Cassanda it sounds like Hawke took the blame for everything, but in reality was Anders who blew up the Chantry and started the rebellion.

The stuff Hawke did himself was really defeating an Arishok (who only went on a rampage because Isabela stole a relic whilst the rest of the Kirkwall population were being idoits towards him and the rest of the Qunari) and ventured deep into the Deep Roads to help Bartrand find an idol made out of weird lyrium who sold it to Meredith, which pushed her over the edge who in turn pushed everything else along like the Templars and Orsino.

I don't know what Hawke gets up too in future DLC, expansion packs, games etc, or about everyone elses Hawkes and Wardens, but my Warden could mop the streets of Amaranthine with Hawke at the minute Image IPB

Hawke was many actors who was involved. Without Meredith, Anders would have been just a terrorist. Without Anders, Meredith wouldn't have wigged out like she did. Without the rite of Annullment, Orisino wouldn't have more or less proven that everyone's willing to do blood magic when backed into a corner.

Everyone was a part of it. Which is no different than the Warden, considering how many other factions and persons were necessary for victory, let alone for the story to progress as it did.

Hawke killed a large Dragon and a high Dragon. Hawke killed several large and powerful demons. Hawke also theoretically killed an onslaught of Ray Harryhausen inspired walking, gigantic statues.
Hawke's family mostly died like the noble Warden.
Hawke is epic he is just lost to a no-win scenario ending....the Kobayashi Maru.

The Wardens influence and power are second to none. Hawke took 10 years to finally tame Kirkwall, the warden wouldn't have spent a week. Wardens awnser to no authority or king, and wardens also don't have to compromise if they so choose. Plus, what has Hawke faced that the Warden has not? This isn't even a question, the Warden is much more powerful.
