Hello :)
I got my copy of DAII today. At first I couldnt start the game, but after I got the latest nvidia beta drivers I got it to start up.
Now I have another problem, I get a very stuttering sound - especially in combat and it tends to get even worse when there's alot of enemies around. I never had this problem with the demo.

I've tried
- Both motherboard and PCI soundcard
- Reinstallation of DAII
- All possible DAII settings

I would really appreciate some help with this. Thank you.

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

Processor: Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU    Q6600  @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 4094MB RAM
Video Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX

Try updating your soundcard/motherboard sound drivers first. Check the performance info (Bring up the taskbar - cntl+alt+del - and look for the "performance button". See if anything is thrashing your hard drive. Maybe something in the background is trying to read it other than the game? Make sure you have "Background Cache enabled" on your drive (you can find this setting by looking for your drive in the device manager in the control panel.

Thanks alot for your help. It was obvious when I checked the performance tab. Somehow the game was set to run on only one of my four CPU cores.
I set it to use all of them - problem solved.

I don't have a clue why it was set on one though. :?

EDIT: Now, finally I'm going to enjoy the game. :)
