is it just me or does bethany seem angry/jealous at you in both her letter and when you see her again after she becomes a warden.  like she wishes you had let her die.  either way it was the part of the game i felt the largest emotional connection by far.  anyone else think she seemed this way.  also sorry for the wrong punction and spelling using my android and this forum wont let me use the alt key to bring up question marks apostrophies or capitol letters.

I agree, I became really attached to her and to what happened. To me, it seemed like an easy choice. I spent all of Dragon Age Origins and Awakening as a Warden, we all did, so maybe we're a bit biased, but the life didn't seem so terrible at all.

Better than dying at any rate, no? If I was in her position, knowing what I knew about DAO, I would have gladly become a warden. It's not like she's one of the last two in a the realm charged with betrayal and tasked with killing an arch demon, after all...

When I saw her again, she seemed to be doing well, but I did notice in her letter and voice/word choice that she sounded fairly annoyed or pissed for some reason, which is...confusing.

I could understand being jealous since being a warden is not an easy life by anymeans but surely being free from templar and chantry control plus being alive would be enough to keep her from seeming angry and if she was always so upset that she was the reason they were always moving and afraid of being sent to the circle shouldn't this almost be a relief in some small way.

Bethany always wanted to be normal and live a normal life. Being a Warden is anything but normal, even if it does free her from the eyes of the templars.

Not everyone's happy being a self-sacrificing hero.

What happens when she becomes a warden? Can you still play as her? She died last night and like you said thats the character with the most emotional attachment and it was almost enough to make me play awakenings and start a new game. But if you cant use her or shes a defferent person that may save me some time =p

Wow, really, I took her and Anders because I thought the Circle is what she would hate most of all. Now I will have to try a new game and send her to the Circle and see just how different the outcome is.

Yeah my bethany was forced into the circle, and she seemed alright with it, a bit annoyed being constantly watched, but she was fine and "happy".

I am really ticked off that there is no way to save Bethany and keep her in your party.  I've already slaughtered Templars, what's a few more?  Why can't I assault the circle and retreive my sister?  I just can't see Hawke just accepting the situation.

How much you want to bet they will add this via DLC?  /sarc.  A game that costs $60 shouldn't HAVE pay for DLC at launch...  But I digress.

Wow really? I'm glad I opted to let her go to circle. She isn't the normal kind of happy but finds peace in teaching children. I thought she would take a very "wynne" approach to it and she does, thankfully. as much as i loved my warden it is not a life i would wish on someone and i'm glad in this case i made the "right choice".

my playthrough with carver though will see him to the wardens, hopefully. i think he would like that better than being a templar. well neither is good but i'd rather him not go through lyrium withdrawals and just have him die a "glorious" death by taking on darkspawn.

This is one of My major problems, you can't save bethany and keep her away from the chantry and to keep her alive.

Hmm...next time I'll send her to the Circle, then, as her coldness after making her a Warden really bummed me out. She was constantly in my party until the game forced her out, and I thought we were best buds! :D Being a Warden when you don't choose that path for yourself must really suck, because she hates me now- it's mentioned in the codex as well, that she's all spiteful about it. Glad to know the Circle is a better choice...I was planning on letting her die next time.

Although, if you make Bethany a Warden and then kill Anders, you get her back in your party during the last sequence and can sort of smooth things over with her then.
