Also, the talkative man in the Hanged Man can say "Have you ever felt that world is getting simpler, like fighting and such" which I think is a reference to complaints on the game being dumbed down, either way I laughed.

Almost everything that came out of Varric or Merrill's mouth was pure gold, but Varric's real-time narration during Sebastian's Act II quest was probably my favorite exchange in the game.

Also, the dialogue where Anders is imagining some slight on the part of Sebastian and Sebastian is just completely ignoring him and talking about clouds. "That one is shaped like a bunny!"

Merrill: Varric, can you tell me how this ends?
Varric: Why?  You don't want any spoilers now.
Merrill: It's just that... what if I don't want to make it? I want to know the end.
Varric: We'll make it, I'll take you with me.

It was very well done and frankly gave deep meaning to what happend.

it's funny when you visit varrics brother after he returned to kirkwall because varric (as the narrator) makes up stuff what his brother said about him, e.g. he was better looking, smarter, etc.

Also during Varric's epic cutscene in Bartrand's house, the quest title in the log is pretty funny:
Varric must face down his backstabbing brother in an epic battle to the death.
