I've had audio issues as well. They aren't as bad as yours seem to be, but my dialogue is really super quiet and my combat is if this persists at this volume for much longer I'm going to have a headache loud.

I've had audio out of sync or just flat out not there.

It's amazing how bad this game is compared to the first.

Having these problems as well. No dialog sound. Someone at another site recommended checking "Forced Stereo". I'll have to try that.

Nope, no go. No option for that audio output on the console... Ugh... At least I can read the subtitles.

What version are you guys using with audio problems? Like both PS3 or 360 or PC?

Take the disc out.
Place firmly between thumb and fore finger.
Pull arm back in a kinetically charged position.
Launch disc into wall.
Delight in the rainbow colored confetti!

Just saved you 20 hours

So far, uninstalling the demo on PS3 has brought back dialog audio.

The PS3 can be pretty finicky, depending on the firmware version you are running. Try going to to your audio output options and DEselecting everything other than Dolby or DTS (not both) - there are some formats (I think stereo PCM) that you can't disable, that is fine.

On the PC it is *supposed* to default to the settings that are selected on the PC. The issue with PCs is that with the huge selection of audio cards and configurations, there are bound to be some outliers. Try setting your PC audio settings to your desired config (5.1/Stereo) manually and restarting the game.

Xbox is pretty straightforward altho I have experienced some shenanigans with HDMI and having to manually REselect Dolby Digital as the output format in the console settings menu,

Hope that helps, if you are still running into problems please email me at jeremie@bioware.com - I would be happy to try to help!

Cheers
J

Oh, I should mention that having any other (old) build of the game installed has caused issues. Like n8o mentioned above, make sure to explicitly uninstall any demo builds of the game before troubleshooting.

The OP hasn't said what system, but I had a similar problem on the PC. Very very low voice audio, barely audible, I just had to go into options and force stereo with a restart. Fixed it right up.

Ditto i'm having the same problems. Audio works fine in-game, but cuts out during conversations or isn't there at all. Updated to PC 1.1, but don't think any audio fixes were included there. Cmon Bioware.... sort this out!

I have this same problem with audio on the PS3. Most of the time a restart will fix it but it is annoying as all hell. I hope they get this sorted out soon. I'd like to not be annoyed by loss of audio each time i try to play it. :(

Same issue on my PS3. HDMI audio, DD/DTS/LPCM all set up. All other games work fine. It seems like the voice track just vanished about 16 hours into the game. The demo had sound issues too.

Bioware is supposed to call me back later today about it. We'll see.

Technical issues with your game should be posted to the appropriate Technical (Self-Help) forum. Please read the Sticky threads in those forums to determine what information would be helpful in a post, and please scan the first few pages of the forum to see if your issue is already being discussed. Thank you.

end of line.
