As the title says, whenever I enter combat, regardless of where I am, the music cuts off. I hear all other sounds save for music. Now and then the battle music will come back, but only for a moment. Is it a hardware issue on my part? Or do I need to reinstall the game or something?
Thanks.

do you have a sound card in your computer? some use the onboard sound off motherboard, try updating the driver, a year ago i built a new desktop, everything new, an i had a new X-fi Xtremegamer sound card in, but the speaker's i had been using for 10yrs. one new game i had that trouble, just like you descibed, after wresling with it a few days, i ordered new logitech speaker's an it took care of that problem, it can be a task trouble shooting computer's, at times. good luck

I did an update of the driver (I use Realtek), and it still has issues. Thing is, I always hear the start of battle music, but then it cuts out to this strange tense sound. It's a sound from the game, like this light screeching noise when you fight particularly frightening beasties. For some reason the battle music gets cut off by that sound. It's... aggravating.

AC -97 Realtek is onboard sound, an not very good for gaming, my advice is buy a sound card and have put in, you have to make a change in (cmos) or bios when it's changed, maybe get another option, good luck.

I also have this issue. I turned of "Force Stereo Sound" to see if that helps.
I'm not sure of what soundcard I have. My drivers are "HD Audio" from microsoft. So I believe mine may be onboard.
(I understand my videocard and whatnot but when it comes to my sound I am clueless
)
"Can You Run it?" says I have a "High Definition Audio Device"
EDIT: I did some searching and found that people using trainers are getting this problem. So if you use one that may be it.
However, for those who do not use them we may need to keep looking for a answer :\\
