About every 3rd or 4th time I select Alistair, he refers to my Dalish Elf Male PC (who is romancing Morrigan) as "My love".

Someone missed a gender check, methinks. :)

There are a few moments like this if you play a female toon, especially around Denerim. It was very immersion-breaking being called "sir" every second conversation.

The "sir" thing is actually them calling you "ser", which is gender-neutral.

I had Alistair believing he was gonna be king when I endorsed Anora and reassuring my PC he wasn't gonna let her go. Um, thanks for the sentiment?

There are a few NPC's who refer to your femme Warden as "he" or "him", but I don't remember exactly who they were. "Sir" or "Ser" I can write off, but not those.

I suspect the problem is that Dragon Age uses scripts to determine gender checks, origin checks, etc. and these seem to be easily breakable, this is especially apparent in the Landsmeet as there are multiple player decisions being thrown about.

Pft, you should try playing Spellforce 2.
My female PC being constantly referred to as he, him and "that man" drove me up the wall.

I think Loghain called me an "errandboy" at one point before the Landsmeet, come to think of it. But maybe he was referring to Eamon? I don't remember!

That could be, but she was also called "boy" and "good man" on occasion too.

I had a weird one with Morrigan's offer. I had Loghain all lined up to bed her and suddenly the dialogue choice had both "Loghain has agreed" and "Alistair had agreed". Out of interest I clicked Alistair and Morrigan ended up making babies with my female toon. Maybe I missed something in biology, but I'm not sure that's how it works!

For the Morrigan thing? I'll see if I can recreate it, I have a save around there.

This must have something to do with the way you dress... no other explanation. BioWare has made a good attempt at making some armor sets clearly feminine looking. You should pick those, and only those. Otherwise this is what you get.

I want to see this... Very much so.

this reminds me of the part where my male PC was about to ask Alistair if he'd ever had sex, and, using euphemisms, Alistair was saying something about "licking a lamp post in winter" and the homoerotic implications were so strong that i had to cancel the dialog.

Well, I have the photographic proof but it seems bioware are updating their screenshot section. I'll see if I can upload it elsewhere.

Does this mean I'm the only person to have had a lesbian encounter with Morrigan? =p

I had a problem with gender confusion, also. I believe it had to do with toolset.. I had to reinstall the game, because Alistair no longer recognized my female toon as his love, but as a best buddy. I wonder if there's something in the toolset that, if you tinker with it, it bugs gender recognition?

It could be that, or some of the massive armor. I do notice the massive armor does not a 'female' version per se.

Massive armor is plate, plate is never form fitting, for both males and females.

Despite what some generic fantasy settings would have you believe.

Well. Do know that simple dialogue decisions can change them from interested to friendly. Like Leliana changed for my Mage. She basically saw him as a best friend too... though I have yet to have a best friend that starts giggling strangely when I talk to him or her.

Ah c'mon, that was funny.

Yes, there were homoerotic connotations, even carried further in some of the responses you could take (And freak out Alistair in the process), but it was meant in a light-hearted manner.

I tried this myself just now and didn't get the option. Is there a particular way to get it in dialogue? Was Alistair executed in your file? I really want to see this for myself. :innocent:
