I'm trying to win Merrill's friendship but it seems kind of hard. I'm not that far in the game but I have only on one occasion won points, on the quest form the magistrate. Have any of you encountered situations where you can win her friendship?

Most of the quests involving magic/blood mages allows you to gain friendship. She responds well to Hawke supporting blood magic, freedom, anti-templar stuff.

I caused Merrill to go full rival because in this play through my mage is against anything to do with blood magic so be careful when you encounter those situations.
