I'm in Sundermount during the beginning of the 2nd act and I can't figure it out.

Its the last thing I need to find(its heart) before I head back to Soliviticituviticitisuivitucus.

The varterral is at the end of merrill's companion quest towards the end of the act can't get it till then.

I've been wondering about this too... So do you have to go about doing the main quests of Act 2 in order to trigger Merrill's quest? At what point is it supposed to happen?

I'm just wondering because I've heard some people have had buggy issues with Merrill in Act 2. For one thing, is that mirror in her house already supposed to be there even though I haven't gotten her quest yet?

I can agree with this. I JUST literally finished killing it a few minutes ago. It is near the end of Act 2 before the bulk of the Quarian stuff. I just got it automatically while questing.
