I actually love the new Qunari models. I didn't care for Sten, he looked like some over-sized ugly human. Now they're rather intimidating and if you don't mind me saying pretty hawt. Let the qunari pron fics flow!

I actually really like the new character models for the elves and Qunari. The elves look more exotic and graceful, almost catlike (which, to me, is what elves should look like), and the Qunari... Well, I think if they look like big demon things, people are more likely to be against them than if they looked more human because they'll more inclined to think they're evil, even if that's not necessarily true. That's just my opinion, though.

I honestly like both changes. Also Sten wasn't even in DA2, though he's confirmed to be a rarer no horned Qunari. So... *shrug*
And the Elves look much better I believe. They're more unique, plus they don't just look like shorter humans with incredibly broad shoulders and gigantic hands.

I actually don't mind the elves or the qunari, but I really hate what they did with the darkspawn. They looked alot scarier in Origins, now they just look retarded. I can't see how anyone at art direction thought that the change was the good idea.

I like the new look of the elves, they more distinctive looking even though some of them didn't look so good considering how elves are supposed to be more beautiful compared to humans.
The qunari look amazing, they look mean and badass. The type of people you don't want to mess up with, really like how they were designed.

I disagree with the OP about the Qunari, I really like their new look. It makes them look more than giant tan muscular elves. But speaking of elves, that is something I am greatly disappointed in. I mean, I saw Athenril first and I thought "hmm she has no shoulders, but not much difference" then I saw the dalish....why do most of them have PURPLE SKIN??? then it was Merrill's neck... *shudder*. The final straw was Huon & Nyssa...what the hell was Bioware thinking? was the person in charge of making those npc's high that day?

I was initially disappointed with the new elf look, but the more i played the game the more in started to like the new look...a few dodgy make-up incidents aside...I actually think they are better than the DAO ones (the females at least)...actually looking like a separate species...which to me is important....i mean, who doesnt think Merril is cute?
As for the Qunari...not sure, they look impressive but too samey...if they explain what the hell Sten and the other DAO qunari are then i can live with it (kinda like how they explained the old klingons in that Enterprise episode)

I think Merrill looks good in part because some of the elfish traits are downplayed - her ears aren't all that big, her nose ridge thingy isn't too prominent and her face isn't thin

Hate the epic rip off of alien N'avi looks for elves. All the stuff I have read describe elves as elegant graceful beautiful people... not a cross between "grays" and N'avi and yes draenis! UGH Blech. While some of the elven toons were drawn with much more care [ merrill, athrenil, fenris] most are pretty well deformed looking. What is seriously with the U backs ? it makes me hurt to look at them. I love playing elves, but seriously they are so hideous im GLAD they didnt give us the oppurtunity. Why cant elves be graceful and tall and beautiful? geesh ugh! I am so not going to mention my take on the horror cameos of Dao companions, excepting Leliana they were all horrid, Like Jason from Halloween. UGH
I have to admit the Qunari threw me for a loop, but I really liked the changes, THEY were more imtimidating, but I also missed that they didnt have any like Sten in their midst.... I luv;d the Arishok especially. Altho I did wonder what was wrong with wearing armor, aside from helms and shoulderpads.... O well... mb so they could display the uniform body art?

I like both. The Elf was a bit unsettling at first but it grew on me, and now I quite like it.
The purple Dalish especially made me go, "WAH FOREST DROW" but again, it grew on me.

Some elves look okay but most are not that attractive, if that is what they were going for they succeeded. I did get used to them. The Qunari were far far superior in almost every way.

Yeah, I agree. To me, the elves and "dark"spawn/grayspawn were unforgivably hideous. If they keep either of their looks for DA3 then it'll hit the bargain bin before I play it. There were so many other ways they could have differentiated the elves from humans. Why this way? Extaterrestrialism isn't the only possible exotic look.
I think the qunari look good, but they needed more variety. At times they looked like an army of clones. And the humans were overall worse relative to DAO... the men had these bad, shapeless potato heads, in particular. I really don't get it.
