Hey.

Im playing through the game for the first time, and since nightmare proved to difficult i had to swallow my pride and restart on hard. (I never change difficulty mid-play, i consider it cheating out of principle)

As a dw rogue ive had no problems untill now but the fight in the chantry with Anders seems impossible.

My team so far:

Me (Damage)
Merril (Damage/cc)
Valric (Useless dwarf running around doing mediocre damage)
Aveline (Tank)

lvl7, mediocre gear, nothing good found so far.

The encounter is

1 Templar lieutenant
1 Templar hunter (Assassin)
3 Archers
3-4 templars

When a few templars have died ADDITIONAL 3 archer and 3 templars spawn.

Killing the lieutenant first is futile, it takes my team about 5 minutes with everyone focus fireing him and spamming abilities to get him down. He only seem to do medium damage himself though.

The Templar hunter/assassin does INSANE damage, same with the archers. So i figured id try kill these first.

The templars wouldnt have been a problem if not for Aveline FAILING at a tank here, taunt seems to... not taunt... they all go for Merril, as if there is a script that makes templars focus on mages first (Logical i guess)

It seems the enemy does to much damage to outheal and i have only 2 health pots, heal spell is useless in dragon age 2 (20 seconds cooldown lolz) and i can  forget about DPSing them down in time.

Any advice? How did you beat this encounter? I also tried to do nuke some down then go for some kind of kiting tactic with my team but they have waaay to many archers.
