Man, I hope not to have Sebastian focusd DLC. Dude was just boring. Never used him except to finish his specific missions. As an archer rogue, he's fairly redundant to Varric - who's al ot more entertaining to talk with.

Things I'd like to see in DLC:

1) The wardens that passed through Kirkwall (both at the end of Deep Road Expedition of sibling joins wardens, and later in the final act) said they had more important things to deal with. Would like to know what it is. Especially if it includes talking about what the Warden is up to.

2) More follow up on Enigma of Kirkwall. Lead an expedition into the depths to follow up on what the Band of Three started. Or even just put us in the role of the Band of 3, though wouldn't like that as much since I'd prefer to use characters and companions that I know

3) Fill in the gaps...less interesting than the first 2, but there's a lot of crap that goes down in Kirkwall. What did Hawke specifically do while working for Meeran/Athenril that first year? What about the 3 years between Act 1 and Act 2 (unless Hawke spent the whole time and most of his share of the expedition making it rain at the Blooming Rose - which would explain why you have a house and whatever cash on hand you had at end of Act 1, instead of being filthy rich) or between Act 2 and Act 3? These could even use the existing framing device of Varric telling the tale to explain why you can do that after the main game is done 'Oh, you should also know about the time that Hawke ....'

4) More investigation of the Primeval Thaig. What was it? Who built it? why did hte dwarves forget about it?

5) What happened to Hawke between end of game and when he disappeared?

I agree with all of this, though I think a post-campaign DLC dealing with Sebastian and Starkhave could also be compelling.

But my big priority is your #3.  In some ways, I agree that it woudln't be as exciting as the other things you mention (which sound great), but I think it would help me get into character better.

My big soapbox about the timeline of this game is that is makes a remarkable opportunity to role play a character who really grows and changes over time.  For me, the most compelling arc there would go like this:

penniless refugee --> ruthlessly acquisitive smuggler --> wealthy businessman trying to consolidate his ill-gotten gains -->  dealing with the Qunari threat to his new home, because he's starting to care about the place --> Getting mixed up in rivalry tearing his new home apart in ways that reshape the global political environment.

In order to make that feel compelling, to me, we need to have more options to be greedy and family-first at the beginning, preferably through the illegal/illicit economy.

Finish Band of 3's job.

And epilogue DLC is an absolute must.
