I just finished Act 1 last night.  A couple of more framing sequences popped up.  And they rubbed me enough the wrong way that I've got to provide feedback on them, lest I forget it later on

I understand the need to be vague.  You don't want to give anything away and the game might not know which way the player is going to go on a few things, so it doesn't even really know.  I understand that.

But as a consequence, it's little more than a retread of the Omniscient Council of Vagueness trope.  It's not bad for being a trope, it's bad because it has obnoxious doubletalk.  I hesitate to speak for everyone, but it doesn't instill us with awe or interest in "whatever could they mean?!  Ooh, what's going to happen?"  It just makes me feel like they have thought disorders or a brain injury.  Or maybe they're so used to telling in-jokes with their friends that it's become their natural speaking style.

I don't mind the framing sequences themselves, it's the absurd vagueness that irks me.  If you can't do framing sequences without it, it'd probably be better off to not do them at all.
